I am sure we are all deeply outraged by the ridiculous bail demands set by the Nigerian government (and judiciary) for our brother, friend, comrade and leader, Omoyele Sowore.
Make no mistake about it, those were RANSOM demands, not BAIL demands. If anybody was unsure previously about whether Sowore was ABDUCTED and not arrested, or whether we are currently been governed by a kidnapping-ring, they must have clear answers now.
It is also no secret that Sowore raised funds for his presidential election publicly and transparently, pulling together Nigerians from all walks of life in all sorts of locations to donate their widows mite. Again, we will release him the same way we campaigned during the elections - with generous donations from YOU - the Nigerians who continue to stand up for justice and freedom.
However, we are conferring with his lawyers and family to come up with the best course of action. We must not play into the hands of a government that is looking for any and every avenue to victimize Sowore and Nigerians. We must also not play into the hands of fraudsters who would take advantage of YOUR willingness to help. Consequently, we humbly plead for your patience.
By Sunday 23:59 (WAT), a course of action will be announced. Please await this OFFICIAL announcement about the way forward, and do NOT donate or hand over funds over to any individuals or bodies that do not directly have the endorsement of his family, his legal team, or the Take-It-Back Movement.
