Why American Donald Trump' Back down on Tehran: Classified report says USS Abraham Lincoln, carrying nuclear weapons, would not survive against Iran’s precision missiles

A classified report obtained by Prime Trust revealed that the United States refrained from attacking Iran after learning that the USS Abraham Lincoln, carrying nuclear weapons, would not survive against Iran’s precision missiles.

The USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group has been confirmed to have sailed due east, away from the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea and is currently holding position approximately 1100 km from Iran.

The report states that Iran currently possesses over 3,000 precision-guided missiles, along with a large number of Shaheed drones.

The main challenge that caused the U.S. to pull back was the high number of Fateh-110 missiles Iran currently has.

Other reports on Trump’s statements further indicate U.S. President Donald Trump’s caution regarding his threats to attack Iran, as he shifted back toward negotiations and the peace table, instead of relying on military force.

The Trump administration has told Iran through multiple channels that it is open to meeting to negotiate a deal, promising it is serious negotiations and not a bluff.

Multiple Arab countries are trying to arrange a meeting in Ankara between Steve Witkoff and Iranian officials.

According to Israeli Chwmnel 11, "Trump wants to dismantle Iran's nuclear program, but Israel demands the dismantling of its missile capabilities."

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in a public event in Tehran said Americans must realize that if they ignite a war, this time it will not be a limited war, but a regional war.

- The Americans have been issuing threats in their statements in the past, saying that "all options are on the table," including the option of war.

- This man (Trump) keeps claiming that they have brought in aircraft carriers and other things, but the Iranian people should not be intimidated by such things; the Iranian people are not affected by these threats.

- We are not the ones who initiate things, and we do not want to attack any country, but the Iranian people will deliver a strong and decisive blow to anyone who attacks or harms them.

Iran Announces Maximum Security Measures, Says Nuclear weapons Not Needed To Defend the Islamic Republic

Tehran authorities have announced maximum alert measures, including plans to use underground parking areas and metro stations as shelters.

Reports also say senior officials are relocating to protected facilities, while the military continues to expand its drone capabilities for surveillance, defense, and electronic warfare.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization chief Mohammad Eslami says, There is no place for nuclear weapons in our military doctrine. Iran maintains its defense capabilities without the need for nuclear arms.

Preparing for a possible US attacks, the head of Tehran’s Crisis Management Authority stated that 82 metro stations in the capital have been designated as shelters and are currently being equipped with basic living supplies.

While 300 parking facilities at commercial and administrative centers have been designated as shelters, with capacity to accommodate up to 2.5 million people.

US President Donald Trump says talks with Iran are ongoing, but the Gulf countries cannot be informed about them.

Meanwhile, reports by Axios  quoting senior Iranian officials saying that progress has been made toward launching negotiations with the United States.

Egypt, Russia, Turkey, and Qatar are supporting the talks in an effort to prevent a full-scale war in the Middle East.

Satellite images in the last 12hours show the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln departing the Sea of Oman and heading back toward the Indian Ocean, according to Sentinel-2 data. The U.S. aircraft carrier withdraws from the Gulf of Oman and repositions in the Arabian Sea.

The Prime Minister of Qatar conducted an urgent 2-hour visit to Iran, reportedly to deliver a message on behalf of the United States.

During the visit, he met with President Pezeshkian and Araghchi, signaling high-level diplomatic engagement amid ongoing regional tensions.

A U.S military analyst has warned that Tehran has the ability to cause serious damage to Israel and U.S. military bases, according to reports!

Scott Ritter, a  former UN weapons inspector and former U.S. officer said Iran is clearly a major power in the region. Iran has the ability to shut down the region’s energy production whenever it wants.

Iran can cause devastating damage to U.S. military bases, which could result in the deaths of hundreds or even thousands of American soldiers.

And Iran could carry out decisive attacks on Israel that would weaken its ability to survive and make the land unlivable for millions of its residents.”

This is reality against the western media propaganda os the United States and Israel. For instance ,Israel's claim that its aerial defense systems are top-notch and would bring down all of Iran's missiles. The narrative was widely accepted until the 12-day Israeli -Iranian war when Tehran surprised everyone, including the US.

Iran's missiles hit many Israeli infrastructure targets until Israel couldn't keep up with the pressure, but had to propose for an urgent ceasefire.

As part of their image sanitization, Israel launched a campaign trying to push a narrative about how it won the war.  A few months later, among the US/Israel proposals in the new Iranian deal, they are currently pushing the issue of ballistic missiles.

They want Iran's missiles to have a range limited to 500 kilometers.  This is telling, given that the 12-day war exposed Israel's limits and weaknesses.

If Iranian missiles were as ineffective as the Western media portrays, why are Israel and the US pushing such proposals?

As regards the ongoing negotiations as announced by Donald Trump, Iranian Foreign Ministry wants US to lift economic sanctions from Iran until new agreement is reached based on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

Tehran has insisted that Iran will never backdown from achieving nuclear energy goals and continues its nuclear use into Medical, Electricity, Naval submarines and Space Explorations.

Saudi Arabia to Trump: Strike Iran or you will see Tehran grow stronger.

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman made it clear in a statement during a special briefing session in Washington yesterday Friday.

Prince Khalid bin Salman told the audience, including heads of research centers and American officials, that if President Trump does not carry out his repeated threats to strike Iran, "that will only lead to emboldening the regime", and that Tehran will come out of it stronger.

This represents a notable shift in the tone of the public Saudi position, which emphasized de-escalation, opposition to the broader war, and refused to allow the United States to use Saudi airspace or land to strike against Iran.

NIGERIA'S ARMY CHIEF CHARGES TROOPS IN SOKOTO TO MAINTAIN OPERATIONAL MOMENTUM, DECISIVELY CRUSH BANDITS, TERRORISTS

The Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has charged troops of 8 Division Sokoto and Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, to sustain the current operational tempo and decisively eliminate bandits and terrorists operating within the 8 Division Area of Responsibility.

General Shaibu gave the charge on 27 December 2025, while addressing troops of 248 Reconnaissance Battalion, Illela, Sokoto State, during an operational visit to Formations and Units under the 8 Division Area of Responsibility.

According to the Acting Director Army Public Relations  Colonel Appolonia Anele, the COAS commended the troops for their gallantry, professionalism and resilience in confronting criminal elements whose activities have brought untold hardship to innocent Nigerians. He lauded their operational successes, noting that their sustained efforts have significantly improved security within the Area of Responsibility.

“I commend you for your courage, professionalism and the operational successes recorded so far. Your sacrifices have translated into improved security in your Area of Responsibility. You must maintain the momentum to further annihilate and send the terrorists to their maker who is to decide what to do with them. We can no longer tolerate their excesses against the Nigerian people” the COAS stated.

The Army Chief further reassured the troops of his unwavering commitment to their welfare. He directed the construction of additional accommodation, medical and other essential facilities at Illela Barracks to enhance the morale, well-being and operational effectiveness of troops and their families.

On the late night of Christmas day, United States President Donald Trump ordered precision missile strikes against the ISIS linked Terrorists hideout in Sokoto State. Nigerian government also claimed having the full knowledge of it and that the mission was successful.

Until Trump's rhetorics, the APC led pro Terrorists government have remained unconcerned about the callous activities of the Terrorists against the innocent citizens. Children and students are being kidnapped at will where government officials are negotiating with them. Many of these criminals were reportedly brought into the CV country by the APC leadership in their myopic determination to capture the government in 2015.

CHRISTMAS BANGERS: US Spent Over N36 Billions In One Night Against Nigeria's ISIS linked Terrorists

CHRISTMAS BANGERS: US Spent Over N36 Billions In One Night Against Nigeria's ISIS linked Terrorists

The United States President Donald Trump ordered the missile attacks against the ISIS linked Terrorists group in Nigeria on the late night if the Christmas day.

Over N36b of Nigeria naira have be reportedly spent.

A U.S. defense official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Reuters that the strike in Nigeria was carried out by about a dozen Tomahawk missiles launched from a U.S. Navy warship, USS Paul Ignatius, with each missile costing close to $2 million.

What this means is that over $24 million (36 billion naira) were spent by the Trump government in Nigeria last night.

Meanwhile, both the federal government of Nigeria and the Sokoto State government have separately confirmed that Nigerian security forces, working in close coordination with the United States, have carried out successful precision strike operations against Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves in Sokoto State.

According to a statement signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the strikes targeted two major ISIS camps located within the Bauni forest axis of Tangaza Local Government Area.

Nigeria State under the APC led pro Terrorists Civilian Regime has become a den of criminalities where different criminal groups are operating without genuine check until US President Donald Trump's threats and rhetorics.

The question is ; If the missile strikes should continue against the terrorists , will Nigeria be able to bear the financial consequences under this very corrupt APC led leadership?

The Bombs That Had to Fall: America's Christmas Day Strike on Jihadist Camps in Sokoto, Seat of the Caliphate

The Bombs That Had to Fall: America's Christmas Day Strike on Jihadist Camps in Sokoto, Seat of the Caliphate

In the early hours of December 26, 2025, as most Nigerians slept off Christmas festivities, the skies over Tangaza Local Government Area in Sokoto State erupted with the thunderous roar of precision airstrikes. For 45 minutes, from 11:45 PM on December 25 to 12:30 AM, United States military aircraft unleashed what President Donald Trump described as "a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria."

The operation, estimated to have cost between $1 million and $3 million, marked a significant escalation in international counterterrorism efforts within Nigeria's borders. Both the U.S. Department of War and Nigeria's Foreign Minister confirmed that the strikes were a coordinated operation between the two nations, targeting a terrorist base hosting key jihadist affiliates in the Bouni axis of Tangaza.

Yet, predictably, the strikes have sparked intense debate across Nigeria. Skeptics have questioned everything from the existence of ISIS in Sokoto to the legitimacy of American military intervention on Nigerian soil. Kaduna-based Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmed Gumi went as far as calling the operation symbolic of a "neo-Crusade war against Islam," urging Nigeria to halt all military cooperation with the United States and seek assistance from China, Turkey, or Pakistan instead.

But as someone who has reported extensively from Tangaza and witnessed firsthand the creeping menace of transnational jihadism in Nigeria's Northwest, I can say with confidence: these airstrikes were not only necessary, they were overdue.

The Lakurawa Threat: A Clear and Present Danger

In November 2024, my colleague Segun Onibiyo and I published an exclusive investigation into Tangaza and the alarming influx of foreign Islamist terrorists from the Sahel region into Nigeria through its porous northwestern borders. What we found was chilling: the Lakurawa terrorist group, a coalition of jihadists with ambitions to establish Islamic caliphates stretching from the Sahel down to the coast of Ghana, had been actively recruiting local fighters, including Fulani militias, across Sokoto and Kebbi states.

Tangaza, situated along Nigeria's border with Niger Republic, has become a critical transit and operational hub for these jihadists. The porosity of this border facilitates the seamless movement of fighters, weapons, and ideology between the Sahel's conflict zones and Nigeria's increasingly vulnerable Northwest. This isn't speculation, it's documented reality.

The Lakurawa aren't merely bandits or cattle rustlers. They represent a sophisticated, ideologically driven terror network affiliated with Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), an Al-Qaeda affiliate operating across the Sahel. Their objectives are clear: destabilize governments, impose harsh interpretations of Sharia law, and expand their territorial control. Their methods are equally clear: targeted assassinations, mass kidnappings, extortion, and brutal attacks on anyone who resists their authority, including Muslims.

Why Sokoto? Understanding the Strategic Significance

Critics have questioned why Sokoto, the historic seat of Nigeria's caliphate and a region perceived as peaceful, would be targeted. This question betrays a dangerous ignorance of contemporary jihadist strategy.

Sokoto's symbolic importance cannot be overstated. For groups like Lakurawa and their Sahel-based allies, controlling or influencing territories with deep Islamic heritage lends them religious legitimacy. Tangaza's strategic location along smuggling routes and its proximity to ungoverned spaces in Niger Republic make it an ideal staging ground for operations deeper into Nigeria.

Furthermore, the U.S. military doesn't invest millions of dollars in precision airstrikes based on hunches. In recent weeks, American forces have conducted intensive Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations across the Sahel region of Nigeria. These missions undoubtedly revealed credible intelligence about the presence of high-value terrorist targets in Tangaza, likely including senior commanders planning coordinated attacks across multiple Nigerian states.

The Sokoto State Government has confirmed that terrorist locations were indeed bombed. Reports from Niger indicate that Nigerien soldiers observed fleeing Lakurawa fighters escaping Tangaza after the strikes. The operation targeted a terrorist base where top jihadist commanders were reportedly meeting to strategize large-scale attacks. No civilian casualties were recorded, a testament to the precision and coordination involved.

Trump's "ISIS" Rhetoric: Politics Meets Reality

President Trump's characterization of the targets as "ISIS Terrorist Scum" warrants clarification. While Lakurawa is primarily affiliated with JNIM and Al-Qaeda rather than ISIS, the distinction may be more relevant to terrorism analysts than to practical counterterrorism operations. Both organizations share overlapping ideologies, tactics, and objectives. Both seek to establish Islamic caliphates through violence and terror. Both recruit from the same radicalized populations and exploit the same governance vacuums.

Trump's reference to ISIS likely serves a dual purpose: it resonates with American audiences familiar with ISIS's atrocities, and it simplifies a complex security landscape into terms that justify decisive action. For Nigerians living under the threat of these groups, whether the terrorists pledge allegiance to ISIS, Al-Qaeda, or JNIM matters far less than whether they're being effectively neutralized.

The Broader War: Why This Strike Matters

This operation represents more than just a tactical victory, it signals a renewed international commitment to confronting transnational terrorism in West Africa. For too long, Nigeria has faced these threats with insufficient resources, inadequate intelligence capabilities, and an overstretched military. The involvement of U.S. military assets, with their advanced surveillance technology, precision strike capabilities, and real-time intelligence, provides a force multiplier that Nigeria desperately needs.

The Lakurawa threat extends beyond Sokoto and Kebbi. Their influence has been felt in Zamfara, and increasingly in parts of Niger and Kwara States. They operate with impunity in areas where state presence is minimal or non-existent. They impose taxes on communities, recruit disaffected youth, and coordinate with local bandits to create a complex web of criminality and ideological extremism.

Sheikh Gumi's concerns about sovereignty and the symbolism of American intervention are not without merit in principle. No nation should casually cede control of military operations within its borders. However, his suggestion that "terrorists don't fight terrorists" ignores the fundamental difference between legitimate counterterrorism operations conducted with host-nation consent and the indiscriminate violence perpetrated by jihadist groups.

His recommendation that Nigeria seek assistance from China, Turkey, or Pakistan instead raises its own questions. Are these nations better positioned to provide the sophisticated ISR capabilities, precision strike assets, and actionable intelligence that this operation demonstrated? The evidence suggests otherwise.

Looking Forward: Recommendations for Sustained Action

While the Tangaza strikes represent a significant achievement, they cannot be a one-off event. Nigeria's counterterrorism strategy must evolve to address the full spectrum of jihadist threats across the country.

The next priority should be the systematic dismantling of known terror cells in the Middle Belt, particularly in Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue, and Taraba states. These cells serve as planning and staging grounds for attacks on farming communities that have displaced thousands and devastated agricultural production. Precision airstrikes targeting these locations, combined with ground operations to clear and hold territory, would significantly degrade their operational capacity.

Nigeria must also invest in border security infrastructure along its northern frontiers. Technology, surveillance drones, biometric checkpoints, rapid response units, must replace the current patchwork of undermanned outposts. Regional cooperation with Niger, Chad, and Cameroon needs strengthening to create a coordinated response to groups that exploit national boundaries.

Finally, Nigeria must address the governance vacuums that make communities vulnerable to jihadist recruitment. Where the state is absent, in providing security, justice, education, and economic opportunity, extremist groups fill the void. Long-term victory against terrorism requires not just military action but the restoration of effective governance.

Conclusion: A Necessary Strike in a Long War

The Christmas Day airstrikes in Tangaza were not an American crusade against Islam, as some have claimed. They were a necessary surgical intervention against a metastasizing terrorist threat that endangers Muslims and Christians alike. The Lakurawa and their affiliates have killed indiscriminately, enslaved communities, and sought to drag Nigeria into the chaos consuming the Sahel.

Those who doubt the necessity or success of these strikes should ask themselves: Would they prefer that the terrorists meeting in that Tangaza forest had been left to execute whatever atrocities they were planning? Would they prefer that Nigeria face these transnational threats entirely alone, without the intelligence and capabilities that international partnerships provide?

The war against terrorism in Nigeria is far from over. But on December 25, 2025, in the skies over Sokoto, a significant battle was won. Now comes the harder work: sustaining the pressure, expanding operations to other terrorist strongholds, and building the state capacity necessary to ensure that when terrorists are eliminated, they cannot simply be replaced.

The strike in Tangaza matters because it demonstrates that Nigeria is not alone in this fight, and that those who wage jihad against innocent Nigerians, regardless of their religious affiliation or international backing, will face consequences.

The question now is whether Nigeria has the political will to build on this success or whether the Tangaza strikes will remain an isolated event in an otherwise reactive and inadequate counterterrorism strategy.

For the sake of every Nigerian farmer, trader, student, and family living under the shadow of these groups, we must choose the former.

Donald Trump Confirms US Carried out "powerful and deadly" Strikes against Islamic State forces in Nigeria

Donald Trump Confirms US Carried out "powerful and deadly" Strikes against Islamic State forces in Nigeria

American President Donald Trump said Thursday night that he'd launched a "powerful and deadly" U.S. strike against Islamic State forces in Nigeria, after spending weeks accusing the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led pro Terrorists government of failing to rein in the persecution of Christians.

According to the US President: "Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!"

The president posted on his social media site. His post did not include information about how the strike was carried out, nor what effects it had. But the U.S. Africa Command posted on X that it had "conducted a strike at the request of Nigerian authorities in Soboto State killing multiple ISIS terrorists."

"Lethal strikes against ISIS demonstrate the strength of our military and our commitment to eliminating terrorist threats against Americans at home and abroad," its post said.

The Defense Department did not immediately answer requests for comment.

In response to Trump's previous criticisms, Nigeria's government says that people of many faiths, not just Christians, have suffered attacks at the hands of extremists groups.

However, the truth remains that the primary targets of the northern Oligarchy sponsored terrors are Christians and have surfer thousands of casualties while the APC led federal government weren't serious about the fight against the insurgents. Thousands are in IDPs.

Still, last month, Trump said he'd ordered the Pentagon to begin planning for potential military action in Nigeria following the claims of Christian persecution. The State Department has also announced it would restrict visas for Nigerians and their family members involved in mass killings and violence against Christians in the West African country.

And the U.S. recently designated Nigeria a "country of particular concern" under the International Religious Freedom Act.

"I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was," Trump wrote in his Christmas night post.

He said that U.S. defense officials had "executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing" and added that "our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper."

Nigeria's population of 220 million is split almost equally between Christians and Muslims. The country has long faced insecurity from various fronts including the Boko Haram extremist group, which seeks to establish its radical interpretation of Islamic law and has also targeted Muslims it deems not Muslim enough.

But attacks in Nigeria often have varying motives. There are religiously motivated ones targeting both Christians and Muslims, clashes between farmers and herders over dwindling resources, communal rivalries, secessionist groups and ethnic clashes.

The U.S. security footprint has diminished in Africa, where military partnerships have either been scaled down or canceled. U.S. forces likely would have to be drawn from other parts of the world for any military intervention in Nigeria.

Trump has nonetheless kept up the pressure as Nigeria faced a series of attacks on schools and churches in violence that experts and residents say targets both Christians and Muslims.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted Thursday night on X: "The President was clear last month: the killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria (and elsewhere) must end."

Hegseth said that U.S. military forces are "always ready, so ISIS found out tonight — on Christmas" and added, "More to come…Grateful for Nigerian government support & cooperation" before signing off, "Merry Christmas!"

CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE: US Delegation Prepares To Brief President Donald Trump After Nigeria Fact-Finding Mission

CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE: US Delegation Prepares To Brief President Donald Trump After Nigeria Fact-Finding Mission

Christians should be able to live in their ancestral homeland without fear of genocidal Fulani - Moore

A US congressional led Fact-Finding team says it will brief United States President Donald Trump after completing  it's Fact-Finding mission in Nigeria over rising reports of killings and targeted attacks in the Northeast, North Central and many parts of the country.

Background

The delegation, led by Congressman Riley Moore, arrived in Nigeria on Sunday for a multi-day assessment.
The visit followed escalating international concern over repeated viol3nce affecting communities in Benue State and other regions.
Washington had earlier listed Nigeria as a "Country of Particular Concern" over allegations of Christian persecution.

What Happened

The five-member team visited IDP camps, church communities, traditional leaders and survivors who reported repeated att@cks.
Moore said the team gathered “ground truth” from directly affected populations.
Security conditions required the delegation to travel in armoured vehicles across Benue.

Government / Official Reactions

In Abuja, the team met National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).
Nigerian officials maintained that the viol3nce has no religious undertone and is linked to broader cr!m!nal activity.
The Federal Government earlier rejected claims of a “Christian genocide.”

Eyewitness Accounts

Moore recounted testimonies from women who lost entire families during att@cks.
One survivor described how five of her children were k!lled before her eyes while she was pregnant.
Another said her husband, daughters and unborn child were lost in a similar incident, leaving her traumatised.

Public Response

The accounts have triggered renewed global debate on the nature of the viol3nce.
Advocacy groups have urged Washington to compel stronger humanitarian and security interventions.
Some Nigerian civil society groups welcomed the visit but warned against over-politicising the conflict.

Analysis

The visit reflects a growing shift in US attention toward Nigeria’s security crisis.
Moore dismissed explanations linking the viol3nce solely to climate-resource tensions, citing repeated att@cks on churches and IDP camps.
Analysts say the upcoming briefing to Trump could influence future diplomatic, humanitarian, or sanctions-related actions.

Moore Confirmation

While in Benue, I met with dozens of Christians who were driven from their homes and subjected to horrific violence and now live in IDP camps.

They told harrowing stories that will remain with me for the rest of my life.

One woman was forced to watch as they killed her husband and five children. She, and her unborn child, barely escaped.

Another woman’s family was murdered in front of her and her baby was ripped from her womb.

One man’s family was hacked to death in front of his eyes and his armed was permanently mangled.

There are more than 600,000 Christians in IDP camps in Benue State alone.

These Christians should be able to live in their ancestral homeland without fear of genocidal Fulani.

Conclusion & Call to Action

Moore said he and House Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole will present a full report to Trump before month-end.
With Nigeria insisting the crisis is not religiously motivated, diplomatic narratives appear likely to intensify in the coming weeks.

According to him, "We met with Bishops Anagbe and Dugu and Tor Tiv. We met with suffering IDPs who are all Christians. They are forced to live in camps that are regularly attacked by Fulani Islamic radicals."

We heard heartbreaking stories from survivors of this horrific genocidal campaign committed by the Fulani, including a woman who was forced to watch as five of her children were killed.

I've never seen anything like it. It will stay with me the rest of my life.

I am working on a report to @POTUS that will outline a path forward to work with the Nigerian government in a coordinated and cooperative manner to end the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle Belt and stop the ongoing terrorist threat in the Northeast.

We will brief the President soon. More to come.

Genocide In Nigeria: U.S. Will Cut All Taxpayer Funding To Nigeria Says President Trump

Genocide In Nigeria: U.S. Will Cut All Taxpayer Funding To Nigeria Says President Trump

The President of the United State Donald Trump had said the country will cut off all taxpayers funding for a Terrorists enabling government of Nigeria where Christian Genocide is currently ongoing.

Nigeria government has done nothing to stop the killings by Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits, Fulani herdsmen and kidnappers. Thousands have been killed in the country. In Plateau, Borno, Kaduna, Zamfara, Nasarawa, Kastina, Yobe, Benue states. Attacks of the Terrorists have escalated even into southern party in Ondo State where Christians where massacred in a church in Owo. In Igangan, Oyo State where a whole town was ransacked by the armed bandits and Fulani herdsmen.

Kwara State is currently be raiding by the Terrorists. Nigeria's government have totally looked other ways since APC pro Terrorists Regime took over since 2015 till date.

Trump said: “Nigeria’s a disgrace… they’re killing people by the thousands. It’s a genocide, and I’m REALLY angry about it!” He says the Nigerian government has done nothing to stop the slaughter:

“They are very ineffective. They’re killing Christians AT WILL.”

And the money pipeline? “We pay a lot of subsidy to Nigeria. We’re going to stop. Not a dime until the killing ends.”

Trump also says the crisis was being ignored until he stepped in two weeks ago: “Until I got involved, nobody even talked about it.”

HUGE move — and a massive warning shot to Nigeria’s leadership.

The killings and kidnapping were primarily targeting Christians.

According to the reports, the delegation’s visit to Washington, D.C.  allowed for a frank, honest, and productive discussion about the ongoing persecution of Christians and ongoing terrorist threats in Nigeria and opportunities for strengthened cooperation and coordination between the United States and Nigeria to end the bloodshed.

Nigeria is greatly bleeding in the hands of the state enables Terrorists who have gained international supports including from the United States under the Democrat leadership of Both the Barrack Obama and Joe Biden.

The press statement by the Moore office confirmed that during the meeting, Nigerian officials shared their government’s challenges and concerns regarding counterterrorism, security assistance, protection of vulnerable communities, and ongoing issues involving violence across Nigeria.

Congressman Moore clearly told Nigerian delegations tha the United States stands ready to coordinate and cooperate with Nigeria, and that, as President Trump made abundantly clear, the United States will not tolerate continued violence against Christians or other forms of religious persecution. President Trump does not make idle threats.

According to the statement, Congressman Moore will continue monitoring new developments and pushing the Nigerian government to accept the open hand of cooperation to stop the ongoing persecution and violence against Christians and combat the threat terrorist groups pose to the Nigerian population.

Congressman Moore issued the following statement:

“Today, I had a frank, honest, and productive discussion with senior members of the Nigerian government regarding the horrific violence and persecution Christians face and the ongoing threat terrorism poses across Nigeria. I made it crystal clear that the United States must see tangible steps to ensure that Christians are not subject to violence, persecution, displacement, and death simply for believing in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We stand ready to work cooperatively with the Nigerians to help their nation combat the terrorism perpetrated by Boko Haram, ISWAP, and Fulani militants against their population, specifically Christians in the Northeast and Middle Belt regions of Nigeria. The Nigerian government has the chance to strengthen and deepen its relationship with the United States. President Trump and Congress are united and serious in our resolve to end the violence against Christians and disrupt and destroy terrorist groups within Nigeria. I urge the Nigerians to work with us in cooperation and coordination on this critical issue.”

The delegation included:

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu – NSA and Leader of the Delegation

Her Excellency, Bianca Ojukwu - Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Mr. Kayode Egbetokun - Inspector General of Police

Chief Lateef Olasunkami Fagbemi, SAN - Attorney General of the Federation

Succinct to the woes facing the citizens, while the Nuhu Ribadu led APC Federal Government team are in Washington DC, Boko Haram in Borno State laid ambush against the Nigerian Army. A Brigadier General and all of his troops was annihilated by the Terrorists.

Also in Kebbi State, school girls have been kidnapped. Military troops on the rescue operation also fell in the terrorists ambush.

In Kwara State, armed bandits invaded a church, (Chris Apostolic Church) . Many have been kidnapped too.

The Tinubu led APC pro-terrorist, bandits and Fulani killers lack any modicum to stop the wanton killings in Nigeria. Insecurity has long ago become a very lucrative business for the government officials including military senior hierarchies and the criminals bandits at the determent of the defenseless citizens.

TRUMP MUST SURLY COME TO NIGERIA

Today Nigeria has become an horrific crime scene.

Bandits storm churches to kill and abduct Christians. Children are kidnapped from schools by Boko Haram Terrorists. A Brigadier General was shot dead by ISWAP terrorists. Every day brings fresh chaos yet the Terrorists enablers, the APC led pro Terrorists government remains silent.

No other options available than for the outsiders to come and fix what our leaders refuse to confront.

Trump: War General, Kurunmi’s lessons for Tinubu

Trump: War General, Kurunmi’s lessons for Tinubu

Festus Adedayo

Greek philosopher, Socrates, may be the most famous Western figure of his time to have swallowed the poisonous plant's juice called hemlock. But, Africa, too had its. As he was sentenced to death in 399 BCE, Socrates was forced to drink this poisonous plant secretion which causes muscular paralysis, leading to respiratory failure. As he lay dying, having swallowed his own hemlock kept in a calabash bowl, the tragic life of Kurunmi, 19th century Yoruba military general and Yoruba race’s 10th Aare Ona Kakanfo, stands as a huge lesson for contemporary leaders. Though Kurunmi learned the lesson too late, its precepts are that, through decisions or indecision, leaders lead their people to avoidable bloodshed.

For Nigerian political leaders, the wailing regret of their actions and the consequences may be loud. As loud as they may seem, they are synonymous with the proverbial wails of the killed and grilled Okete, the pouched rat. As Bola Tinubu, the latest version of Aso Rock dwellers, seeks solace from an impending Donald Trump shellacking, the rat stands as symbolism of leadership in Nigeria in the last 26 years.  While alive, Okete countermanded every counsel for him to be circumspect. He condemned it as possessing nil substance. At death, however, hoisted up on the grilling fire gauze by the woman who hangs venison for sale, Okete raised his hands up in a post-mortem surrender.

If irascible Donald Trump eventually attacks Nigeria as he has been roaring to do in the past one week or thereabout, Nigerians have their leaders of the 4th Republic to blame. If this happens, one historical narrative often deployed as a fitting recollection of such invasion is the story of Kurunmi, one of the governors of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Atiba. He was domiciled in Ijaiye. Kurunmi’s point of departure from Alaafin Atiba was the monarch’s decision to tamper with the ancient constitution which proclaims that the crown prince of the empire must die with his father, the Alaafin. By shielding Prince Adelu from death, Kurunmi was furious with the Alaafin.

In the infamous Ijaiye war with Ibadan, Kurunmi lost all. His warlords’ stubborn insistence on crossing River Ose was one of the first steps to spell a monumental disaster for the Ijaiye warriors. They all perished inside the river.  Kurunmi lost Iwawun which came to him as a chilling news. The generalissimo was contemptuous of Ibadan’s military might, having earlier defeated the people in the battle of Odogido. He derogatorily called Ibadan “bush goats” and “horses full of muscles, small in sense.” The Basorun Ogunmola warriors had to fight to the last pint of their blood to reclaim their pride. In the process, they demonstrated to Kurunmi that they had huge sense and possessed sterner military prowess.

As he mobilized to fight Ibadan, Kurunmi sent emissaries far and wide to seek support for his war campaign. He got the buy-in of the Egba tribe, among others. On one of such expeditions, Ibadan waylaid his emissaries to the Emir of Ilorin and killed 19 of them. By the time the battle ended, Ijaiye suffered such huge fatalities that is today a legend in defeats in warfare. Five of Kurunmi’s children were killed by Ibadan, including Arawole, his son, whose decapitated and blood-enveloped head, when presented to him in Ijaiye, unmistakably told Kurunmi that the battle was indeed over.

When the poison’s pang meandered through his entrails with deathly searing pain, Kurunmi cursed his remaining generals, Mosadiwin and Abogunrin. The curse would assume its potency, he pronounced, if they did not inter him immediately but allow “my body stay(s) here for the vultures of Ibadan to peck at… if my skull serves as drinking cup for Adelu.” His last words as he committed suicide, was, “When a leader of men has led his people to disaster, and what remains of his present life is but a shadow of his proud past, then it is time to be leader no more.”

So many historical accounts of Kurunmi’s reign revealed his kind of leadership. Richard Henry Stone, an American representative of the Southern Baptist convention on a missionary expedition to Africa in the 19th century did this. In a chapter in his biography entitled In Africa’s Forest and Jungle or Six Years Among the Yorubans, he dedicated a chapter to Kurunmi which he entitled “An African despot.” In it, he wrote of his encounter with this dreaded military general thus: “He was haughty, despotic, ambitious and cruel… he was also firm, just and reasonable on most occasions. I never saw better order anywhere than I saw in Ejahyay (Ijaiye) while Areh (Aare) was its ruler. But he was a bloody usurper. When he was a young man, he was a notorious free-booter and slave hunter. With a number of followers, who had attached themselves to his fortunes, he would go out from Ejahyay into some distant province on predatory excursions. By kidnapping in the farms and by plundering caravans, he became rich and powerful.”

The above earlier excerpts were the result of a literary, though fictional re-calibration of what was left of the true but tragic life of Kurunmi, one of Yorubaland’s most famous war generals. Written by Professor Ola Rotimi in his epic drama, Kurunmi, Rotimi also characterized Kurunmi as a great military leader and war general whose fatal ending came as a result of a leadership Achilles’ heel. It is, taking others for granted. Like many contemporary leaders, Kurunmi faced internal strife within Ijaiye and external threats from imperial powers who wanted him subjugated. The rampaging Fulani forces were one of them. Alaafin Atiba too barely tolerated him. Rotimi used this play to showcase Kurunmi’s martial prowess in the face of attacks and how the conflict within the Oyo empire eventually consumed him.

In the days of yore, in centuries that preceded the advent of colonial rule, vile comments against a people, the type of which was recently credited to American president, Donald Trump, were enough to provoke a war. Kurunmi said as much against the Ibadan and provoked their anger. “Bush goats” and “horses full of muscles, small in sense” were as villainous as "the now disgraced country" of Trump’s description of Nigeria. The disgrace isn’t that it was coming from the leader of another country; the disgrace is that Nigerian leaders are actually disgraceful. They are the proverbial self-advertizing ripe fruits of an orange tree who invite stones and wood-pummeling on the mother tree. From Olusegun Obasanjo, to Umaru Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari and now to Bola Tinubu, Nigerian leaders of the Fourth Republic have left their food plates unwashed and have invited Trump, the green fly, to feast on their failures.

When Boko Haram insurgency began under Modu Ali Sheriff as governor of Borno State, Obasanjo was in the saddle. While holding court in Maiduguri, on July 28, 2002, Mohammed Yusuf, founder of the dreaded Islamist organization and its spiritual leader, got surrounded by Nigerian military troops. They enveloped the sect members and arrested Yusuff two days after. Captured by the military in that expedition, Yusuf was taken to custody of the police where, for fear that he could name his sponsors in government, Yusuff was summarily executed outside of the police headquarters. Later on, some aides of the Governor Sheriff, and even the governor himself, were alleged to be in cahoots with Yusuff. Rather than decisively stamp his feet on this potentially viral cells of an affliction, President Obasanjo would rather order the rout of Odi and Zaki Biam.

I was one of the reporters who covered the blood-curdling news of the amputation of Jangebe, the first victim of the politicization of Islam, in Gusau, Zamfara State in 1999. On October 27 of that year, Ahmed Sani Yerima, as governor, dared Obasanjo and introduced the Sharia law. The eleven other states in northern Nigeria who parade majority Muslim populations, immediately followed suit, regardless of the stipulations of the Nigerian constitution which stated that Nigeria is not a religious state. Obasanjo had the renown of the warrior, Morilewa who Odolaye Aremu sang his panegyrics as “Òtagììrì p’egbèje ènìyàn” - one who, with the clinical sprint of a tiger, eliminates 140 people at a go.

In this instance, however, because he wanted to be politically correct and didn’t want to hurt the north, Obasanjo became too feeble to stop the north. There were vehement protests everywhere against the move, including riots, leading to several deaths. Yet, Obasanjo was too busy demolishing towns where policemen and soldiers got killed to bother about this stoked national fire.

Yes, since 1960, there had been calls for Northern Nigeria to return to the Sharia, which is a way of life of Muslims. Reference was made to its seamless practice in the Sokoto Caliphate and Kanem-Bornu empire before the British colonial rule of the 19th and 20th centuries. Yes, this empire prospered tremendously under Sharia and the people wanted a return to “the glory of former times". Were southern Nigeria to seek a return to “the old glory” of the buoyant Oyo empire, it could also have advocated for this movement backwards to move forward. Moving backwards to the Oyo empire would have meant a wholesale reproduction of the draconian laws and the barbaric precepts of kings seizing women that caught their fancies, which were not in consonance with modernity.  Beheading of opponents to the king’s command would also have come with the broth. However, since the introduction of the criminal Sharia laws into the penal laws of the 12 northern states in 2000, Northern Nigeria has remained backward, more existentially challenged ever, while its political leaders use Sharia as a draw-card for votes.

Boko Haram indeed sidled into Nigeria under the veil of Islam. On July 26, 2009, under Yar’Adua, this Islamist group launched an attack on a police station in Bauchi State where over 50 people were killed and hundreds injured. The firefight had erupted when 70 members of the Islamist sect, armed with grenades and small arms, launched an offensive.

Under Jonathan, who literally threw his hands up in surrender, and Buhari, whose amorphous anger against the Islamist group was undisguisable, the insurgents became such a hydra whose taming was a huge challenge.

Now, Nigeria has come to the valley of decision. An untrained child would receive cudgel training outside their father’s compound. Donald Trump has come with his disgraceful cudgel for Nigeria. As usual, Nigerians are hiding behind a finger. The almost 26 years of leadership hypocrisy, politicizing of faith, ineptitude, abetment of mass killings of Nigerians, all in the name of looking good in the sight of northern voters, have come full throttle. It reminds me of Peter Tosh, the iconoclast Jamaican reggae musician, warning, in his No Way track, that, “Nobody feel no way/It's coming close to payday I say…/Everyman get paid a quota's work this day/Can I plant peas and reap rice/Can I plant cocoa and reap yam/Can I plant turnip and reap tomato/Can I plant breadfruit and reap potato?”

Nigeria planted breadfruit over the past 26 years and desires to reap potato. The world endured the nuisance of our leaders for decades; it waited with bated breath to see whether renaissance would come from within. Now, a Sheriff for whom scruple, precis and diplomatese and the concept of national sovereignty are balderdash, is in the saddle. You may dislike the gruff of Trump as I do; in his CPC tag on Nigeria, you may see through a veil of seeking to please his American evangelicals and harvesting support at home, amid a shutdown of American government. However, you cannot denounce Trump’s statistics that brim with blood of our innocent compatriots. Their  only crime was being Nigerians practicing their faith.

In my piece entitled Ted Cruz’s genocide, blasphemy and Ida the slave boy (October 26, 2025) I laid bare the crux of Ted Cruz’s matter. The world cannot stand successive Nigerian governments’ hypocrisy any longer. Citizens have resigned themselves to their fates in the hands of their oppressive leaders. In the north, faiths other than Islam cannot be practiced without fear. In the name of blasphemy, many have had their heads decapitated and burnt. In the words of Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan-Kukah in Lagos on Friday, “If Nigeria does not kill the dragon of religious extremism, it will be only a matter of time before we become a larger Gaza. Supremacists who hide under religion must have no place in our social and political life. The time to deal with this problem is now. The place to start is here.”

But, supremacists flourish like cedars of Lebanon here. The first thing to do is to face the fact that, the forefathers of insecurity in Nigeria - banditry, Fulani herdsmen, kidnapping etc - are Boko Haram and ISWAP. They kill, maim and destroy churches and mosques, in the name of a religion. Yes, we should agree that they are  ill-informed and unrepresentative of what Islam, the religion of peace, truly stands for. But, with the genealogy of Boko Haram and ISWAP that we know, it will then be very disingenuous and hypocritical to claim that the killings in Nigeria’s northern states are in equal proportion of both Christian and Muslim adherents.

In the figures they gave of casualty of Boko Haram and ISWAP’s genocidal rout, Trump, Cruz and others spearheading this genocide claim on Nigerian Christians cannot be wrong. They may be wrong on the functionality that the grim statistics serve for them. If and when the Islamists strike, not only do they shout “Allahu Akbar,” a census of opinions of victims in northern Nigeria would reveal that their killings tilt more towards Christians and the Kafir Muslims who the insurgents see as no better than Christians.

I believe Tinubu can rout the Islamists. He stands at a tangential point to do this due to his syncretist background of being both Christian and Muslim, by birth and marriage. Trump’s irascibility is a wake-up call on Aso Rock. It is also a blessing to Nigeria. We don’t want America to storm Nigeria with her missiles. We want Trump to make Tinubu bend over backwards to smoke out those bloodsucking animals and their apologists off our land. Tinubu can do it if he blinds his eyes to the enticing pie of a second term re-election. To do this, he must heed the clarion call in the Ola Rotimi proverb which says that, “When an elder sees a mudskipper, he must not afterwards say it was a crocodile”.

Tinubu must first dismantle the tyrannical walls of political Sharia in Northern Nigeria. In doing this, he will be calling the mudskipper its real names. Then, he should flush out bloated vermin military generals who sell arms to Boko Haram and their allies in barracks who warehouse Intel reports for sale. Since we began voting trillions of Naira for fighting insurgency, military Generals and their civilian allies have stolen billions of our national patrimony yearly. I am sure America has their dossiers. She should smoke them out. America must then banish their feet from her precious soil where they love to move their blood-encrusted heists. It is in this that Trump can "attack fast, vicious, and sweet”. It will hit the insurgents hard, thereby bringing peace to the “cherished Christians".

Lastly, I love a tweet on X last week credited to military General, Ibrahim Babangida. He wrote: “During our time in the Nigerian Military, we don’t (sic) negotiate with terrorists or offer  any form of amnesty to radical groups. Those who pose(d) a significant threat (were) scheduled for court to see the judge, while those who pose(d) a much more dangerous (threat) are (sic) scheduled to see God.” It is high time the Tinubu government applied the same military strategy.

Christian Genocide: Donald Trump drops another explosive statement Says He has just approved Tinubu's Request For US To Invade Nigeria

Christian Genocide: Donald Trump drops another explosive statement Says He has just approved Tinubu's Request For US To Invade Nigeria

United States president Donald Trump has said Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Was the One Who Reported Christian Killing in 2014 — I’ve Just Approved His Own Petition!”  “Tinubu Asked the White House to Invade Nigeria in 2014 Over Christian killings — I’ve Just Approved His Own Request Under His Government!”

Trump has dropped explosive statement, revealing that Nigeria’s current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, once petitioned the White House in 2014, accusing the then Nigerian government of committing Genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

Trump said, “In 2014, Tinubu and his APC people submitted a petition to the White House, saying Christians were being k!||ed in Nigeria — a Christian genoc!de. They begged America to act. I’ve just approved that same request — under Tinubu’s own government. Isn’t that something?”

He continued, “It’s funny. The same man who cried to us for help back then is now sitting in the same seat he accused of genocide. And guess what? I just signed the very petition he brought. That’s justice, that’s full circle.”

Trump, speaking with his usual boldness, said:

“In 2014, Tinubu and his people begged the United States to invade Nigeria — they said Christians were being slaughtered and the government was doing nothing. They asked us to step in, and guess what? I’ve just approved that same request — but now, under Tinubu’s own government.”

Trump added with his trademark tone, “I know everything. I have the documents. We don’t forget. When America moves, the world feels it. Nigeria is about to learn that again.”

“Tinubu started this in 2014. Now he’s going to see how it ends — big time,” Trump concluded.

Under the APC leaderships from Buhari till date, Nigeria government condoned Terrorists. More than ever, insecurity has taken many fronts, Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits, Fulani herdsmen and kidnapping for ransoms. The primary targets of these Terrorists are Christians, their churches and their communities for total extermination

The Tinubu's led APC pro-terrorist government must end the killings, sanitized the Nigerian Army and security apparatus of the state, flushed out Terrorist elements sabotaging the genuine efforts to conquered the insurgency.

Prolonged phantom war against terrorists has become a multi billion dollars business for  the top politicians and political leaders in government, top military hierarchies, certain traditional and religion leaders in the country.

STATEMENT ON US PRESIDENT TRUMP'S INTENSION TO INTERVENE AGAINST KILLING OF CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA

Eleven years ago, before Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu railroaded the Nigerian system to declare him President over us, Tinubu wrote these exact words on his official Twitter handle, now X, of January 19, 2014: "The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians."

At the time Tinubu made that statement in January of 2014, authoritative data provides that 11,000 Christians in Nigeria were killed by Islamists during a four-year period of the PDP's rule from 2009 to 2014. This genocide figure was by Boko Haram alone. Then another dimension of Christian massacres began from 2010 when Jihad extremists masquerading as Fulani herdsmen murdered another 6,500 Christians in another four-year period between 2010 and 2015. This was just before the Buhari and Tinubu APC merger successfully took over the federal government of Nigeria.

In comparison, with Nigeria under his watch as President and under just two years of Tinubu's administration between 2023 and 2025, the number of Christians massacred by Islamic extremists skyrocketed to 14,122, an almost 100% casualty increase in time ratio compared to the PDP years.

Nigerians will recall that In order to rid the PDP and Jonathan government by portraying that administration as incompetent before Nigerians and the globe, especially in the security front, and to justify take over federal power, the same Tinubu and late former President Muhammadu Buhari led a high-powered delegation of their APC merger stalwarts to the United States to meet then US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry. This was on January 25, 2015.

The mission was to drive home the point that insecurity in Nigeria was intolerable and they needed the support of the US government to help stop the genocide in Nigeria by getting rid of the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

It is therefore terribly wicked, godless and extremely unpatriotic of Bola Tinubu, now as President, to deny that there are no targeted Christian massacres in Nigeria. It is the height of shameless selfishness, betrayal of the Nigeria constitution and treason for either him, any regime agent or agency speaking for the administration to deny that there are no Christian massacres in Nigeria. This is especially considering that the figure of victims that made Tinubu and Buhari to lead a protest delegation to the United States in 2015 has now doubled under Tinubu's administration.

This is why, in the view of the Labour Party, we consider the offer of President Donald Trump to help Nigerians out of our security calamity under the current Tinubu-APC administration is godsent, timely and highly commendable.

The Labour Party therefore wishes to express heartfelt commendations on behalf of Nigerians to President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Sen. Ted Cruz, the United States Secretary of War Peter Hegseth, ex-Mayor Mike Arnold and other Americans for the immense work of research, evaluation and conviction they have demonstrated in their intervention initiative.

In their planned interventions, the Labour Party also wishes to entreat the US government to extend protection and sustainable security cover to liberal and moderate Muslim communities whose members are also targeted and in some occasions killed because of their sympathy or support for their Christian neighbours who are under the yoke of Islamic extremists' massacre, livelihood deprivations through violent farmland dispossession and displacements across many parts of Northern Nigeria and the Middle Belt states of our country.

The Labour Party hereby also commends several Nigeria Muslim voices who have demonstrated remarkable patriotism in supporting the Donald Trump initiative to help protect their Nigerian Christian brethren, terror sacked communities and their livelihood for collective peace and progress. They have shown by their novel spirit of mutual humanity that one united Nigeria, irrespective of religion and political differences, is truly possible, if we have good leaders in place.

It is this kind of pan-Nigeria spirit and undiscriminating interfaith harmony Nigeria urgently needs today to overcome and put behind us the terrorist catastrophés that has been covertly promoted by Nigeria's successive governments since 2009 and which has come to a devastating climax in President Bola Tinubu's Muslim-Muslim regime.

Finally, we wish to heartily salute US music icon, Miss Nicki Minaj, for using her global youths and Gen-Z platform to draw attention to the genocide, unimaginable IDP homeland displacement crises and despair of millions of Northern Nigeria citizens who, though mostly Christians, have admixture of

collateral Muslim victims among them.

The Labour Party wishes to implore other famous artistes, sportsmen, movie stars, writers and philanthropic industrialists all over the globe to emulate Miss Minaj's sterling humanitarian heart, practical compassion and example. This is in the hope that their collective voice, oncoming global solidarity mobilization and sequel humanitarian concerts for millions of Nigeria's IDPs will spur President Tinubu, his administration's National Security Adviser, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, and the government's Minister of Defence, Mr. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, and Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, to abolish their despicable, complicit long standing policy of pacifying these soulless mass murderers with billions of Nigerians' taxpayers money.

The above disgraceful policy, to borrow President Trump's word, involves officials and military brass of the Tinubu federal government regularly sitting with fully armed terrorists, ransom kidnapping bandits and rapists, including attending the marriage of children of these mass murderers in their forest lairs. A terrorist engagement policy unheard-of anywhere in the world.

CPC: How Tinubu Landed Nigeria In Trump's Bad Book - SKC Ogbonnia

CPC: How Tinubu Landed Nigeria In Trump's Bad Book - SKC Ogbonnia

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has threatened military action against Nigeria over an alleged Christian genocide in the African country. This followed his designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC). Instead of exploring meaningful solutions, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is busy playing politics with a situation he helped to inflame.

The perception of Christian genocide under the various regimes of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is not new. The campaign for global attention began when President Muhammadu Buhari appeared to be indifferent to the problem. It quickly took a deep root because of Buhari’s background–a military dictator of obstinate religious bigotry.

Various Nigerian clergymen and Christian groups alerted the global community of the alleged genocide during the Buhari democratic regime. Ordinary citizens were not left behind. The loudest echo chambers of the campaign were prominent image makers of President Tinubu in Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode. The duo traveled far and wide, using every social media platform to sensationalize the hostility. They in turn derided the Buhari regime as well as the APC as harboring a dangerous Islamic hidden agenda. In one instance, Omokri labeled the ruling party as “anti-Christ.” That quickly stuck!

More importantly, the voices of innocent Nigerians in America, most of whom are Christians, and most of whom decried the pattern of the injustice in their homeland, reluctantly aligned and validated the persecution claim. The U.S.Department of State finally acted by designating Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern for the first time in December 2020.

After a critical review, Trump’s successor, President Joseph Biden lifted the CPC designation in 2021, amid a torrent of criticisms from both the United States and Nigeria. But America remained on the alert, eagerly waiting for an alarm for any iota of further violations.

Enter Tinubu and the second coming of Trump. The emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s president worsened matters and is squarely responsible for why Africa's most populous country is not only designated as a CPC again but also heightened the threat for military action by the United States of America.

Let us begin with Tinubu’s background. Everything about the Nigerian president is everything the Americans resent in foreign leaders. Too many controversies–from his identity, drug trafficking, academic records, and source of his huge wealth. This baggage does not evince trust, especially for a man leading a party heavily lampooned as “anti-Christ.” The totality of this background accounts for why Trump has continued to distance himself from Tinubu.

The next pointer is Muslim-Muslim Presidential Ticket: Upon winning the nomination of his party, Tinubu shocked the world by electing to nominate a vice-president who shares the same Muslim faith with him. What fuels the ire of the Americans is that, despite leading a political party that is alleged to have a vicious Muslim agenda, Tinubu blatantly broke from the prevailing convention that had created a sense of religious tolerance in the country.

Very alarming is that it did not take long before Nigerians started observing probable signs of Christian genocide in the country under Tinubu. Incidents and statistics abound. But a wake-up call was the first Christmas period after Tinubu took office in 2023 which witnessed a series of coordinated attacks in Plateau State. The suspects were Muslim militants who killed at least 300 people who happened to be Christians, wounded about 300, and displaced over 30,000 residents across 21 villages. The following Easter period in 2024 showed a similar pattern with major attacks documented in Plateau and Benue States.

A comprehensive report from Open Doors International, a watchdog for Christian genocide around the world, analysed the issue of religious extremism from 2023 to 2025 and suggests that Nigeria remains one of the most unsafe places in the world for Christians. Another report by the World Watch List 2025 indicated that Nigeria accounted for a majority of Christian deaths in the world from a period covering October 2023 to September 2024, noting that 3,100 of the 4,476 global Christian deaths (about 70%) took place in that African country. Even this June 2025, Pope Leo XIV condemned an “unceasingly” attack on Christians in Nigeria.

The incidents and reports above are just to name a few and took place under Tinubu’s watch. But, like Buhari, he chose to do nothing, thinking that it was business as usual. The apparent stoic silence sent a wrong signal, suggesting acquiescence to the quandary.

Commonly ignored but very consequential is that, even if genocide against the Christians is in contention, the persecution of the people of Southeast Nigeria under Tinubu is profoundly evident. This zone, by the way, represents a majority of Igbo people and also the highest concentration of Christian population in the country. Of course, the history of ill-treatment towards the Igbo is a common knowledge and did not start under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but it has heightened since he assumed office.

Some have argued that the Christians might have not been specifically targeted, which is arguably fair. Yet, the simple truth is that a majority of the population in the areas so cited are of the Christian faith. Moreover, while there are many incidents of mass killings of Christians by Jihadist extremists who hide under the name of Islam to perpetrate heinous crimes, one can hardly point to a case where Christians are slaughtering Muslims in Nigeria to propagate Christianity. Further, coordinated violence against the Muslims, if any, either by default or by design has not been pushed to receive the degree of global attention as the Christian victims. Either way, the acts of genocide in Nigeria–whether targeted or not– are indisputable and it remains the responsibility of the state to decimate the perpetrators.

Many have offered different opinions on how to get around the CPC palaver. The most laughable, however, is Tinubu's plan to jet to Washington and meet with Trump’s deputy, JD Vance in an attempt to reject the CPC label. But such a trip is a mere propaganda envisaged to satiate the thirsty sentiment of being seen as a statesman in the iconic U.S. White House. The solution is at home. And the Nigerian medium for diplomacy has grown beyond the analog assemblage of the Aso Rock think thank!

The point, if it is not already manifest, is that the days are gone when the Nigerian Government can preach justice abroad, while promoting injustice at home. The inconvenient truth is that Nigeria now boasts of hundreds of thousands of independent ambassadors, strategically entrenched in all the nooks and crannies of the world. Nigerians in America on their part maintain a strong presence in both the American private and public sectors, including the CIA, FBI, the Congress, the White House, Judiciary, and the American Armed Forces.

These Nigerian Americans are also entrenched in the U.S. political stream and accordingly have the ears of the American leaders, including President Trump. Interestingly, a vast majority of them are Christians who hail from different tribes of Nigeria and have emerged as the Biblical Josephs of sorts. Not surprisingly, as they go, so goes the national image and much more. And Donald Trump is keenly aware that their reluctance to relocate back to Nigeria after gaining good education is not because of lack of love for their native country but because of bad governance in their homeland. He is aware that a good chunk of the funds budgeted for anti-Islamic terrorism in Nigeria, including financial assistance by the United States, is stolen by public officials.

The fact of the matter is that the United States of America knows Tinubu more than he knows himself. Therefore, instead of the mundane attempts to teleguide America with daily doses of falsehoods, President Tinubu should focus on confronting the problems head-on. We need results, no more excuses!!
