OBIORA IFOH, CLEMENT OJUKWU & OTHER NDIGBOS AGAINST PETER OBI'S PRESIDENTIAL BID: IMPLICATIONS TODAY & FUTURE"

OBIORA IFOH, CLEMENT OJUKWU & OTHER NDIGBOS AGAINST PETER OBI'S PRESIDENTIAL BID: IMPLICATIONS TODAY & FUTURE"

PRE-RESIGNATION REFLECTIONS 001

OPEN REPLY TO OBIORA IFOH'S CLAIM LP NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, PUBLICITY SECRETARY NOT PARTY MEMBERS

By Prince Tony Akeni, (Interim Labour Party National Publicity Secretary)

HIGHLIGHT

"For several years before 2010, the Labour Party chapter of Delta state was abolished by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party's then national chairman, Chief (Barr.) Dan Nwanyanwu and late Alhaji A.A. Salaam, then National Secretary. The national leadership stated that this was because of rogue sellout of elections to the PDP dynasty of the Delta governors at the time, James Ibori and later Emmanuel Uduaghan. After entreaties to me by a delegation led by Emeka Nkwaola of Asaba textile union, I led remnants of the party in Delta state to Abuja to the National Chairman, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, to unproscribe the Delta state chapter."

"The meeting which began with awkward, high octave hostility ended with roaring success after my intense presentation of a case for Delta LP's restoration.

"After my presentation and resolution of the mission, I, in that same occasion, presented to the National Chairman, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, and his NEC a written proposal for the establishment of a "Labour University" by the Labour Party and its NLC founding institution for Nigeria's workers and underprivileged Nigerians in general. Chief Nwanyanwu enthusiastically received the proposal with the opening words: "Ideas rule the world." ...If the LU concept had been followed through by the Labour Party and the NLC, Labour University would have celebrated more than its 10th anniversary by this year.

"Beyond the successful restoration of the Delta state LP chapter by Chief Nwanyanwu's NEC, in order to expand the nationwide membership base of Labour Party at the time, I developed a membership recruitment scheme to boost the size and personality roll-call of the Labour Party in Delta state in particular and Nigeria in general. This culminated in my leading personality recruitment engagements and delegations to frontline Delta personalities such as Prof. Pat Utomi in Lagos, Barr. Victor Odebala of Sapele, the late veteran labour leader Chief Frank Kokori, also in Lagos, and other non-Deltans who included Cross River state former governor, Mr. Donald Duke.*

"At that time (in 2010), over fifteen years ago to the day, Julius Abure, Obiora Ifoh's master and saviour of his political universe, was a blurred mere dot in the circle of Labour Party affairs, to borrow Muhammadu Buhari's phrase; an unknown background shadow working as a postal clerk in NIPOST, Edo state, while somewhere in the west Arabambi was roaming in the wilderness of nowhere. Neither of the two was anywhere near the pedestal of my already region-wide influence ambit, much less national activity status in the Labour Party.

"Given the above, if these creatures, Obiora Ifoh and Abayomi Arabambi, were well brought up growing up, they would lie lizard flat on their bellies to greet me in obeisance wherever they meet me. Not interrogate my membership of the Labour Party. Unfortunately, it is apparent they were not.

"While many Nigerians who are not Igbos are dying for Obi's cause, fellow Ndigbo themselves such as Obiorah Ifoh, Clement Ojukwu, Joe Igbokwe, Minister David Umahi, Governor Charles Soludo, Governor Emmanuel Mbah, former governor Orji Uzor Kalu, the loquacious and delirious National Assembly Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Prisoner Ike Ekweremadu, similar doppelgangers or evil twins of the Igbo nation and sections of stomach infrastructure Ohaneze leadership have been going about like drunken sailors in a beach party recklessly endorsing Tinubu for 2027.

"With opium abandon, they have, both overtly and covertly, set out to reduce the extraordinary generational gem Nigerians of all tribes have found in the person of Peter Obi from "Obi Nwanne of Africa" to "PO of Agulu village," in the same manner their political ancestors cornered, narrowed and minimized Azikiwe from Zik of Africa to Owelle of Onitsha.

"Peter Obi's last best chance and the South-East's next best shot for a long time at the Presidency of Nigeria is 2027. If in 2027 Igbo nation allowed these Igbo political lice succeed to wreck Peter Obi's presidency bid while other Nigerians who are not Igbo are laying down their lives for a Peter Obi Igbo Presidency, let no Igbo person anywhere under the sun, elite or commoner, say Nigerians do not love the Igbos. It will be more correct, almost forever after, to say that Igbos do not love themselves. From 2027, it will officially become a universal maxim, signed and sealed by the Igbos themselves, that the Igbos love what is in their individual pocket and stomach more than their collective posterity and future."

Tony

1.  I read with profound sympathy for Igbo nation and Peter Obi, in particular, the recent bad air from one Obiora Ifoh in his reaction to a private memo addressed to the Sen. Nenadi Usman led National Executive Council (NEC) and Board of Trustees of the Labour Party, which, unfortunately, leaked and found its way to the Nigeria public a few days ago through the Vanguard and Punch newspapers of October 17 and '18 respectively, amongst others.

2.  To begin, let me dismiss with despatch Obiora's misleading claim in the above referred Punch newspaper wherein he alleged that Labour Party's national chairman, Sen. Nenadi Usman, is not a member of the party because, according to Obiora, Sen. Nenadi is not in the membership register of Abure's dead NEC of the party. A rebel band which Nigeria's highest court, the Supreme Court, comprehensively sacked on April 4, 2025.

3.  Mr. Obiora Ifoh and one Abayomi Arabambi, another political rodent in the Julius Abure colony of felony which specializes in candidate fraud, documents forgery, grand thefts and perjury, jointly share the same title of "National Publicity Secretary" in the Supreme Court sacked defunct Julius Abure council of the party; a crass misnomer against Labour Party's constitution.

4.  Together, these two creatures constitute the ugliest, ethically depraved noise drums in the political space of contemporary Nigeria.

5.  First, why should any Labour Party member be found in the register of a council declared dead and buried by a terminal judgment of the highest court in the land?

6.  Secondly, all courts of Nigeria, from the lowest to the apex court, scrutinized, certified and satisfied themselves of Sen. Nenadi Usman's membership of the Labour Party, hence she was recognized as having locus standi on behalf of the party in all suits she filed against the Abure swarm, all of which she won without exception, eternally annulling and obliterating Abure's impersonating group from existence.

7.  Next, let's look up Comrade Tony Akeni's membership of the Labour Party and his leadership status in the party. He was also declared by Obiora as one not in their dead council's membership register.

8.  For several years before 2010, the Labour Party chapter of Delta state was proscribed by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party's then national chairman, Chief (Barr.) Dan Nwanyanwu and late Alhaji A.A. Salaam, then National Secretary. The Nwanyanwu NEC held that the shutting down of the party in Delta was because of rogue sellout of elections to the PDP dynasty of then Governor James Ibori and later Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

9.  On June 12, 2010, remnant stakeholders of the disbanded Delta state LP led a delegation to me (Tony Akeni) in Benin as a Labour Party stalwart of the South-South states who was recommended to them for my reach across the party. The Delta LP delegation, led by Mr. Emeka Nkwaola of the Asaba textile union and comprising one Mr. Emmanuel Emuakpodje, Pastor Tracy Agol and others, had come to entreat me to lead them to Chief Dan Nwanyanwu to plead a case for lifting the suspension of the Delta state Labour Party chapter in order to enable them participate in elections in Delta state.

10.  This later came to include the Delta state governorship re-run election of February 6, 2011, after Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, who was the Chief Judge of the Appeal Court Benin, in a seismic judgment that shook the country, sacked Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for electoral transgressions in the 2007 governorship election of Delta state. Justice Monica is presently the President of the Appeal Court of Nigeria, Abuja.

11.  On June 12, 2010, I was in a June 12 celebration podium at the centre of a sea of music fiesta crowds at Museum Ground, King's Square, Ring Road, Benin City, with Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, performing musicians Majek Fashek and Orits Wiliki, Apostle Comrade Paul Oyarenua and other dignitaries when the Emeka Nkwaola delegation from Delta state entreated me to a side canopy to explain their predicaments and entreaty to approach National Chairman Chief Dan Nwanyanwu to unproscribe Delta Labour Party.

12.  I was a co-coordinator of the June 12 rally in my capacity as Director of Mobilization of Nigerians United for Democracy (NUD), whose national leader was legal luminary Femi Falana (now SAN). Dr. Obayuwana was our state leader of the NUD, while Apostle Comrade Paul Oyarenua was our Edo state chapter chairman.

13.  Arriving Abuja the following week, the late Alhaji A.A. Salaam, then the national secretary of Labour Party, received my delegation and heralded us to the front of Chief Dan Nwanyanwu. The meeting which started with awkward, high octave hostility ended with roaring success after my intense presentation of a case for Delta LP's restoration.

14.  After my presentation and resolution of the mission, I, in that same occasion, presented to National Chairman Chief Dan Nwanyanwu and his NEC a written proposal for the establishment of a "Labour University" by the Labour Party and its NLC founding institution.

15.  Chief Nwanyanwu enthusiastically received the proposal with the opening words: "Ideas rule the world." He went on to narrate that while he was a struggling young man fresh out of school and used to travel by "luxurious buses" from the east to Lagos, he experienced how an entire jumbo bus would be stopped by pressed passengers to stop in the middle of nowhere, and passengers would run into the bush to relieve themselves.

16.  Nwanyanwu said he afterwards at some forums suggested that toilet compartments should be built into luxurious buses. He narrated that a few years later, to his pleasant surprise, the first set of luxurious buses fitted with toilet closets arrived Nigeria. He concluded that my idea of a "Labour University for less privileged Nigeria workers and Nigerians in general" could see the light of day some day just like his closet idea in luxurious buses.

17.  After the Abuja delegation, Emeka Nkwaola of Imo state became the Delta state chairman of Labour Party, Emmanuel Emuakpodje of Kokori town, Delta Central, the state secretary, Emmanuel Amalokwe of Obiarukwu, Delta North, the organizing secretary and I, from Isoko nation, Delta South, the Delta state Labour Party publicity secretary, amongst others. Chief Dan Nwanyanwu and other persons mentioned above except A.A. Salaam and Majek Fashek are still alive to confirm this report.

18.  Beyond the successful restoration of the Delta state LP chapter by Chief Nwanyanwu's NEC, in order to expand the nationwide membership base of Labour Party at the time, I developed a membership recruitment scheme to boost the size and personality roll-call of the Labour Party in Delta state in particular and Nigeria in general. Donald Duke, in his office at Victoria Island, Lagos.

19.  Earlier, when Prof. Pat Utomi visited my kingdom of Ozoro in 2007 with his ADC presidential campaign train and was received in the home of 2nd Republic deputy Speaker of defunct Bendel State and 3rd Republic Senator, late Sen. Francis "Spanner" Okpozo, I, being a double-barrel prince of the kingdom, was by Sen. Okpozo's side to receive and hear Utomi on behalf of our palace political elite.

20.  Earlier in 2006 when the brilliant late Sen. Pius Ewherido, a former deputy Speaker of Delta state, came to Ozoro kingdom with his campaign entourage to sell his Delta governorship aspiration and Sen. Okpozo also received him on behalf of our kingdom, I was also delegated to receive him as observer on behalf of Ewherido's friends and associates of Ozoro kingdom. Pius attended Notre Dame College (NDC) Ozoro as a kid and had many friends and well-wishers in our kingdom. We were looking to convert him to the Labour Party if PDP missed him as their candidate.

21.  In the 2010 meeting with Chief Kokori in his home in Lagos, he addressed us on a wide range of issues from my entreaty of him to join the Labour Party as a veteran labour doyen, his arrest, torture and gulag travails during the June 12 struggle under tyrant Abacha to Chief Great Ogboru's contest-and-run-away perpetual governorship syndrome. You could feel intimately all over the war-tested labour veteran a traffic of exhaustion from moral betrayals and the agony of a loving one-woman man as he pointed upstairs over our heads, where he nursed his cherished wife who, he told us, had been bedridden for years. Chief Kokori concluded that day, "I don't have the energy to do this anymore. But maybe, for one last time because of your delegation, I will think over it."

22.  That one last time made us to see him again, thin and bone weary, in Chief Ogboru's re-run governorship rally at Ughelli in 2011. He died a dozen years later on December 7, 2023 at the age of 80.

23.  Except late Chief Frank Kokori, Sen. Francis Okpozo and Sen. Pius Ewherido, all the persons mentioned above, fortunately, are alive. Go and verify, as Peter Obi would say.

24.  In 2010, over fifteen years ago to the day, Julius Abure, Obiora Ifoh's master and saviour of his political universe, was a blurred mere dot in the circle of Labour Party affairs, to borrow Muhammadu Buhari's phrase; an unknown background shadow working as a postal clerk in NIPOST, Edo state, while loitering somewhere in the west Arabambi was in the wilderness of nowhere. Neither was anywhere near the pedestal of my already region-wide influence ambit, much less national activity status in the Labour Party.

25.  Quite ahead of me in LP affairs then were the irrepressible Veteran Comrade Lawson Osagie. Side by side Pa Victor Aguebor, Pa Irowa, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor (Ultimate Equals) and Pa Gabano, I held the Labour Party media trumpet in the background during the years of Adams Oshiomhole as governor of Edo state.

26.  I was among the backroom influencers of the party when we organized and coordinated the Edo state Labour Party congress at Gabano Hotel, near Uniben, which brought Bishop Samuel Omede to office as Edo state LP chairman. Afterwards, from the dim backyards of his NIPOST employment Julius Abure clawed, scrambled and spidered his way into the spot of state secretary in Bishop Omede's state council of the Labour Party.

27.  Given the above, if these creatures, Obiora Ifoh and Abayomi Arabambi, were well brought up growing up, they would lie lizard flat on their bellies to greet me in obeisance wherever they meet me. Not interrogate my membership of the Labour Party. Unfortunately, it is apparent they were not.

*Hold Up. Stand Up for Peter Obi*

28.  About 20years ago, I read the editorial of a Tanzanian newspaper that shook me to my bones from the acid contempt, even hate, with which many African nations see Nigeria and our country's internal politics.

29.  It stated that Nigeria was one of the most absurd countries in the world where its citizens reduce their best to their lowest worst. Citing the life and times of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe to exemplify the point, the Tanzanian newspaper said Nigeria had achieved the unbelievable feat of reducing the great Nnamdi Azikiwe from "Zik of Africa to Owelle of Onitsha."

30.  Together, African countries and the rest of the world are watching again. How, while many Nigerians who are not Igbos are dying for Obi's cause, while fellow Ndigbo themselves such as Obiorah Ifoh, Clement Ojukwu, Joe Igbokwe, Minister David Umahi, Governor Charles Soludo, Governor Emmanuel Mbah, former governor Orji Uzor Kalu, the loquacious and delirious National Assembly Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Prisoner Ike Ekweremadu, similar doppelgangers or evil twins of the Igbo nation and sections of stomach infrastructure Ohaneze leadership have been going about like drunken sailors in a beach party recklessly endorsing Tinubu for 2027.

31.  With opium abandon, some like Obiorah Ifoh, Clement Ojukwu and Benjamin Kalu have, both overtly and covertly, set out to reduce the extraordinary generational gem Nigerians of all tribes have found in the person of Peter Obi from "Obi Nwanne of Africa" to "PO of Agulu village," in the same manner their political ancestors cornered, narrowed and minimized Azikiwe from Zik of Africa to Owelle of Onitsha.

32.  Great Nigerians like Femi Falana, Dele Farotimi, David Hundeyin (South-West), Yunusa Tanko, Haruna Goro, Nana Kazaure (North), Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, Smart Madu Ajaja, Aisha Yesufu, Magnus Oraka, Peter Akah (Niger Delta South-South), Reginald Nnorom, Precious Oruche "Mama Pee" (South-East) and many others have erased crooked old boundaries in Nigeria's political topography to prove that Nigeria can be one huge, united country and Africa's democratic powerhouse.

33.  Peter Obi's last best chance and the South-East's next best chance for a long time at the Presidency of Nigeria is 2027. If in 2027 Igbo nation allowed Igbo political lice succeed to wreck Peter Obi's presidency bid while other Nigerians who are not Igbo are laying down their lives for a Peter Obi Igbo Presidency, let no Igbo person anywhere under the sun, elite or commoner, say Nigerians do not love the Igbos. It will be more correct, almost forever after, to say that Igbos do not love themselves. From 2027, it will officially become a universal maxim, signed and sealed by the Igbos themselves, that the Igbos love what is in their individual pocket and stomach more than their collective posterity and future.

34.  In our time, we must reject the poison of these Ndigbo wolves against Peter Obi's person and presidential project. We must reject the Tanzanian curse and stand up for Peter Obi in 2027, provided he stands up for himself by filtering out and disbanding his choristers of misleading praise singers, and rising above sycophancy indulgence to pillar his cause with genuine trench soldiers who tell him the truth that will lead to his victory.

35.  Peter Obi and our Labour Party NEC must rise with a sense of urgency to launch confidence building agenda of actions and activities that will encourage and strengthen our party's remaining few loyal elected members of the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly across the country. No effort should be spared to inspire them to remain true to the PO 2027 presidency project.

36.  In case Peter Obi and the Sen. Nenadi council are not adequately aware, currently these brave steadfast loyalists of our party are like forlorn IDP orphans in the National Assembly and various State Houses of Assembly.

37.  They tip-toe about their daily activities within the National Assembly and State Assembly complexes to survive daily pressures on them to defect to the ruling APC and other ruling parties in various states.

38.  They are under constant psychological onslaught of Tinubu's conquest storms under Senate President Godswill Akpabio's and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas' brinkmanship; an ancient Roman triumvirate determined to ensure Tinubu's wholesale state capture of Nigeria into a one-party banana pseudo-democracy. The time for all true Labour Party faithfuls to rally round them is now before it's too late.

God bless and keep us all, as many as will continue to stand tall by the truth and refuse to bow to Nigeria's god of cash-out corruption and political cash crops of compromised politics.

AGOBI 2027 CAMPAIGN

Take Action Nigeria TV (TAN TV)*, Official Broadcast Organ, Coming Soon.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Fellow citizens of the

Federal Republic of Nigeria,

Prince Tony

In 2027, about 230million Nigerians will have another opportunity to break the chains of ruthless, rudderless and and remorseless misrule and tyranny in our nation by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

If the right decisions are taken by stakeholders of our country's opposition political parties and electorates, we shall achieve the urgent objective of emancipating our country through the ballot in 2027.

If, however, leaders of the progressive opposition missed presidential victory in 2027 through wrong decisions, the consequences shall be dire for our country in countless ways.

One of these is that they shall detain again the destiny of 230million Nigerians and their prospects of boundless progress and prosperity in liberty for another four years or much more, chained in the agonies of unprecedented economic hardship, relentless locust havoc, untamed borrowings and foreign debt stockpile, wastage and corruption, insecurity of lives and properties and multi-dimensional destruction of the concept of governance in our common fatherland.

Fortunately, today Nigeria is blessed with two gigantic and outstanding political opposition figures, each one eminently qualified to preside over our country as President and recover our nation to the path of greatness beginning from 2027. These are His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, now of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and His Excellency Peter Obi, currently of the Labour Party.

Unfortunately, however, incontestable intelligence and outcomes of many months' study commissioned by the steering committee of the AGOBI '27 campaign project have unveiled two barricading truths against the hope of either Atiku or Peter Obi winning Nigeria's Presidential election in 2027, if the wrong decisions are taken by one or both leaders. The second truth is that the ruling APC has strategically, scientifically and comprehensively put in place practically insurmountable obstacles designed to prevent free and fair elections through which either His Excellency Atiku or His Excellency Peter Obi, contesting against each other from different political party ballots against Tinubu on the APC ballot, should ever hope to emerge victorious in the 2027 Presidential race.

For brevity, the following are a few of 25 airtight barricades revealed by our research that will abort either Atiku or Peter Obi winning the 2027 presidential election if they make the fatal, historically regrettable and irredeemable mistake of contesting the 2027 presidential election on the platforms of two separate or competing political parties.

*1.  INEC Cancellation of Physical Permanent Voters Card (PVC), Replacement with Computer Generated Voter's Slip for 2027 Elections*

This masterstroke of electoral fraud ingenuity by President Tinubu and his APC is designed to abolish and replace physical identification and verification of voters on polling day.

In place of BIVAS tablets verifying the physical presence and ballot qualification of a voter on the voting line - while Atiku, Peter Obi and other presidential candidates shall be burning trillions of hard-earned naira campaigning and exhausting themselves supplying logistics needs of their party structures nationwide - President Tinubu's APC shall simply quarantine a body of invisible, inaccessible, security fortified and oath-sworn computer wizkids in air-conditioned strongrooms of INEC's national headquarters and state electoral commission offices nationwide.

Sitting at ease working with just their fingers without breaking a sweat, they would generate computer concocted wide victory margins in targeted states of the federation as Nigeria's voters database. These will be used to return Tinubu, all APC candidates nationwide, including those who defected in the last minute from other political parties to the APC to serve and "stand on Tinubu's mandate" instead of that of their fatherland and oaths of office.

The fraud being described here will play out precisely as INEC's outgoing chairman, Prof. Yakubu Mahmood, audaciously accomplished in generating, unchallenged till date, purported new voters registered in Osun state, the home state of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It is important for you to recall that in Osun, a state with a population of *4.6million* citizens, Tinubu's INEC recorded *393,269* as the number of newly registered voters in just one week of commencing the nationwide exercise which began on August 18. On the contrary, in the entire five South-East states which have a combined population of more than *36million* citizens, a paltry *1,998* new voters were recorded by Tinubu's INEC under chairman, Yakubu Mahmood. This implies that Osun state with a population of 4.6million citizens shall have new voters 196 times more than the entire five states of South-East which has a combined population of 36million-plus citizens.

The same olympian margins have been silently concocted for Lagos state and other parts of the country which President Tinubu has earmarked for 2027 landslide victory, all of these monumental phantom data frauds yet to be challenged in court by the sleepy opposition leaders of Nigeria.

*2.  Armed Security Lockdown*

On Presidential election day, which is also now ignorantly celebrated as the same day for all other elective offices nationwide, Nigeria shall be locked down from border to border as if in a state of civil war. Weeks before the elections and after, all INEC results announcement offices at state and its national headquarters in Abuja shall be garrisoned with massive, heavily armed military and para-military forces and anti-riot armoured tanks against access by opposition party officials, reporters of uncooperative media houses, election observers and independent inquirers, making INEC offices nationwide look more like army barracks than an election dispensing civil agency. This military lockdown will be justified with the unfailing reference of "security threat reports" concocted by government itself and used to maximize movement restrictions against opposition political parties, their tactically isolated and disbanded supporters under the "no movement" manual that is conventionally enforced on election day.

Nigerians will recall that President Tinubu performed the groundbreaking ceremony of a new INEC headquarters on June 17, 2025 after approval of the project by the Federal Executive Council. The presidential election fraud project above referred is at the heart of the new INEC headquarters edifice. Besides a 1,000-seat auditorium and shaded, Fort Knox fortified IT floors with conduit cameras, it shall have several cryptic exclusive "keep-off" zones, including a museum, underground basement and detention cells which are special components of its design. Accordingly, the new INEC national headquarters, which FCT sheriff Nyesom Wike promised shall be "completed *before* 2027," is not a patriotic administrative initiative but mainly an election rigging facility for the 2027 elections.

Under the inevitable outcome of the above scenario, Tinubu and his mandate decampees will be returned massively back to office unless their ongoing schemes are challenged, defeated before time and the two frontline opposition leaders of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi make the right compromise on their presidential ticket standing.

*3.  Rigging Funding Treasury Guaranteed for APC Elected Politicians, Decampees*

Bola Ahmed Tinubu actually began the campaign for his second term election on the very first day of his first term when he was sworn in at Eagles Square. The first statement of his 2027 re-election campaign that day was when he declared with Caesar swagger, "Subsidy is gone!"

Since then, through fuel subsidy removal and historical multiple stream tax regimes, the Tinubu administration has amassed and equipped sitting governors, national and state Houses of Assembly lawmakers, local government council chairmen and those decamping in droves from other political parties to his APC with astronomical treasuries they never dreamed of possible in their lifetime. That is why his APC now has and controls 72 Senators in the upper parliament out of 109 from its original 59 members, and 207 House of Rep members from an original 176 members. The tally will jerk up from more cross-carpeting by unpatriotic stomach infrastructure decampees close to the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu's far-seeing core objective of his subsidy removal largesse to the states and political office holders nationwide was not mere presidential obligation or development magnanimity but calculated from inception to lure as many nomad monkeys of the other political parties as possible into his APC camp. This is to ensure that every inch of soil in their various states and constituencies is either won or "snatched" for APC victory and Tinubu's second term return by empowering them with funds beyond their wildest imagination.

*4.  A Nation's Betrayal Triangle, Nigeria Police, Military and Judiciary*

Towards assured second term return of President Tinubu while holding down progress and modern advancement of the Nigerian people in step with the rest of the world, police, military and para-military brass of all armed forces of Nigeria shall be bride-fattened with unheard-of benefits in budgets running to trillions of naira outside legal statutory provisions.

For the judiciary, funds have already been mobilized for dazzling mansions comprising 40 housing units in a new judges' estate to be built in Katampe district of the FCT. They shall be furnished, dedicated as FCT judges' piece of paradise and handed over to the judges before the 2027 elections, and they are not hiding it.

Tinubu's 40 castles of paradise comprise 20 units for FCT High Court judges, 10 for Federal High Court judges and 10 for Appeal Court justices. Needless to state, it is from these tiers of the Nigerian judiciary that critical federal election tribunals of 2027 shall be constituted. On September 23, 2024 FCT emperor Nyesom Wike promised on behalf of Tinubu that these mansions will be completed before 2027.

The mansions will come with high-tech security apparatus, including multi-trillion naira street cameras and drones to separate and protect FCT judges and their families from the tormenting plague of daily insecurity, poverty induced crime rampage which afflict ordinary Nigerians and war-zone massacres rampant in our country.

As you read this, don't forget that Nigerians are not expected to think, having lost their right to do so a long time ago. So, do not think that this "New Hope Agenda" infrastructure breakthrough for judges of our country is a corruption project to help ease Tinubu and his APC administration's return to office in 2027. Just simply understand that a rent-free tenant does not tell his landlord to sweep compound or "fall out" from his own house.

Also don't forget to remember that Nigeria's elite judges have been homeless IDPs living under bridges all these years and desperately need this uplifting by Jagaban, the Aso Villa Knight of Valour, into human homes at last.

With Herodian swag, President Tinubu personally declared on September 2, 2025 that his administration had met its revenue target for the 2025 budget year as early as August, more than a clear quarter before the end of the budget year. Sourcing the funds for the judges wonder project and similar ones towards his assured second-term rebound shall not be a challenge to his APC administration.

With 2027 second-term election as their principal priority instead of governance, in 2027 there shall be more than enough funds for all election victory or rigging schemes and logistics. These include budgets for APC's nationwide network of onshore and offshore election day ballot thugs, violence and mayhem recruitment as experienced in 2023. Only in 2027, their rampage against free and fair elections shall be far more savage unless the opposition led by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Peter Obi and others come together for sincere and selfless, masses sensitive compromise and throw their combined weights and resources behind the campaigns of pro-democracy bodies like SDMA, CUPP, Open Nigeria, NADECO USA, Upright Nigeria Foundation, GCPPI, New Nigeria Movers and Nigeria's Gen-Z army to completely overhaul and viscerally amend Nigeria's electoral laws. The top notch of that campaign is SDMA's call to remove the power of Mr. President and Governors to appoint INEC and judiciary officials at federal and state levels respectively, amongst others. A campaign that should be thoroughly  accomplished before the first sun of 2027 rises upon our country.

*5.  A National Call to Atiku*

After late Muhammadu Buhari's still recent, punishing woeful eight years of two harrowing under-achieving terms as President of Nigeria,  a survey of the electorates and pulse of Nigeria's political peer shows that voters and election influencers in majority geopolitical zones (South-West, South-East, South-South, North Central and Middle Belt states) will boycott another Presidential candidate from Buhari's Hausa-Fulani stock and rather vote for Tinubu as a bitter, unpleasant but better alternative in territorial consolation.

The voters in these large belts of our country have taken a fierce and resolute stance; the stance that rather than vote another Northern Hausa-Fulani candidate as President of Nigeria in 2027 and shortchange Southern Nigeria of a two-term tenure, they would put their vote and resources free to return Tinubu for a second term, even if it were the devil himself.

We respectfully entreat Your Excellency Atiku Abubakar to commission an independent, incognito and dispassionate  survey of your own on this claim. Such survey will prove that our finding is true to the hilt.

Knowing, therefore, the inevitable consequences of Your Excellency going forward to contest the Presidency in 2027, given the other four study outcomes above and others which space will not permit, we of this committee, on behalf of the majority of 230million Nigerians, appeal to Your Excellency's sense of duty, legacy, patriotism and submission to the will of Almighty Allah to save Nigeria from the plunge to infinite social-economic and insecurity calamities which our country will continue to suffer under the one party state tyranny that the present APC administration has determined to plunge our country into if stakeholders fail to demonstrate foresight, cooperation and compromise and make the APC to retain power beyond 2027.

Our entreaty to Your Excellency is that earnestly considering the above circumstances, you would appreciate that the only pathway forward is to magnanimously step into the shoes of a statesman, accept the mantle of modern day Father of the Nigerian nation, lead nationalist and liberator of our century. This you would do for our country by giving your blessing, putting your weight, structures, goodwill and institutions behind the man Peter Obi to run as the Presidential candidate of the opposition on your behalf and that of all Nigerians against the APC behemoth in 2027.

We assure Your Excellency that if the circumstances were reversed and Peter Obi were in your shoes, we would have requested exactly the same concession and sacrifices of him for you.

*The AGOBI Rally Call*

Fellow countrymen, after nearly one year of study, surveys and consultations across the six geopolitical zones and having the foregoing in view, our alliance has put together and hereby unveils Nigeria's now foremost political freedom project since Independence in 1960. This is the project we have named and hereby announce to you as "Atiku Givus Obi 2027" or AGOBI '27 for short.

In the weeks and months to come, we will unveil a lineup of local and international activities of the AGOBI journey to 2027.

*Conclusion*

Atiku and Peter Obi contesting the Presidency from separate political parties against each other in 2027 will be giving Tinubu a free ride, guaranteed ride to second term.

Should His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and his advisers ignore the patriotic AGOBI entreaty before him, his labours and those of the ADC to win the Presidency in 2027 will go down the drain. This will come principally from a combination of two factors, amongst others. One is the formidable and unconscionable rigging ambush of Tinubu and his ruling APC. Two is massive swing votes by nearly all Southern Nigeria states for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a sentimental alternative, bad as the recourse may be.

As with Atiku, so shall it be with Peter Obi. If PO fails to make good the AGOBI roadmap with Atiku, as with Atiku so shall it be with Peter Obi; for the second backbreaking time, all the labours of Peter Obi and the Obidients of Nigeria will be flushed down the drain. King of African wolves, Tinubu's known and hidden aces will defeat the opposition's 2027 bid to end his rule, ending their efforts in pains, humiliation, irredeemable regrets and staggering funding losses wasted in a blind, futile election project that will be like building a skyscraper with ashes. Only an extraordinary act of God, not man, could dent this coming reality.

On the other hand, while Tinubu could easily defeat both Atiku and Peter Obi contesting the Presidency on separate ballots by rigging federal machineries and institutions against their divided votes, a hundred Tinubus with a hundred-fold of all the structures and institutions at his command cannot return to office in 2027 if Atiku gives PO his blessings to run as Presidential choice of ADC and Labour Party coalition. Because that will be the real Nigerian People's indomitable Peru Coalition.

Without His Excellency Atiku embracing the AGOBI '27 proposition, the only winners will be the one person and party the overwhelming majority of Nigerians do not wish to retain power one day beyond 2027.

This brings to the table the most important question anyone will ever ask Atiku in his entire lifetime. Which of these, Sir, do you wish to be remembered for by posterity? The man who sacrificed his ambition to liberate Nigeria or who sacrificed Nigeria for his ambition yet never got it?

Time will tell and retell the AGOBI story, and this question will be asked again and again at your final resting place and in many years of history after you have returned to your Maker. The best and only time to give it a noble legacy guaranteeing answer is now.

To you we speak and write as men. But unto you Allah speaks as God. This hour He reminds you in His scriptures as follow:

_"Act justly, that is nearer to god-fearing..."  "Persistently standing firm in justice, even if it be against yourself." - Quran 5:8, Surah An-Nisa (4:135)._

May Allah bless you with a heart that listens to His commands rather than the misleading counsels of self-serving unpatriotically ambitious aides.

Ameen.

Ameen.

Labour Party Commends House of Reps Speaker Abbas for Alarm On Tinubu's Reckless Borrowing, Tasks Akpabio to Follow Good Example

Labour Party Commends House of Reps Speaker Abbas for Alarm On Tinubu's Reckless Borrowing, Tasks Akpabio to Follow Good Example

By Prince Tony Akeni, Labour Party National Publicity Secretary (Interim)

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Abbas Tajudeen, after his initial catharsis of truth on the prodigal and dangerous borrowings of President Tinubu's APC administration on Monday has, in the last 18 hours, been telling Nigerians that his statement was quoted out of context.

But that is not true. If he has come under pressure by his party's hawks and blows by the long hammer of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from his vacation beach in Europe to recant, Nigerians are good at understanding, so we can understand.

For avoidance of doubt, speaking yesterday September 8, 2025 at the opening of the 11th Annual Conference and General Assembly of the West Africa Association of Public Accounts Committees (WAAPAC), which took place at the National Assembly, Abuja, below is what Speaker Abbas said, verbatim:

_“As at the first quarter of 2025, Nigeria’s total public debt stood at N149.39 trillion, equivalent to about US$97 billion. This represents a sharp rise from N121.7 trillion the previous year, underscoring how quickly the burden has grown. Even more CONCERNING is the debt-to-GDP ratio, which now stands at roughly 52 percent, well above the statutory ceiling of 40 percent set by our own laws._

_"The BREACH of the debt limit is a signal of strain on fiscal sustainability... THERE IS NEED for stronger oversight, transparent borrowing practices, and a collective resolve to ensure that tangible economic and social returns match every naira borrowed.”_

_“This is not just a budgetary concern but A STRUCTURAL CRISIS that demands urgent parliamentary attention and coordinated reform._

_“Borrowing should support infrastructure, health, education, and industries that create jobs and reduce poverty. RECKLESS DEBT THAT FUELS CONSUMPTION OR CORRUPTION must be exposed and rejected. Oversight is not just about figures, but about the lives and futures behind those figures."_

When there is too much sand in a soup, even the blind will notice. That is what Rep Tajudeen Abbas, the APC's own Speaker of Nigeria's House of Representatives, has done.

Nigeria's astronomical debts without the benefit of visible economic and infrastructure development for the citizens on behalf of whom they are borrowed, the dangers the debts hold for the country's future are so grave and frightening that Speaker Abbas could not hide it from the world.

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas also did not hide the fact that his own party's administration led by President Tinubu is responsible for the country's public debts peril to Nigerians born and unborn.

For Nigerians to appreciate Speaker Abbas' sense of alarm, one must put in perspective the facts.

Both the Debt management Office and CBN's published data available to the public confirm that in the first 90 days of this year alone, Nigeria's public debts soared from #121.7trillion in December 2024 to #149.39trillion.

What is more frightening is that as Speaker Abbas pointed out, in the same three-month period the debt-to-GDP ratio resulting from these debts rose to 52%, which is far above the highest safe limit of 40% set by Nigeria's own fiscal laws.

What further worsens the alarming nature of the country's debts is the revelation that in the last nine months, Nigeria used N8.93trillion or $6.2billion to service her debts. This means that 61% of the country's revenues of #14.55trillion earned during the same period went into debt servicing!

Choosing his words carefully for minimum image damage to his party, even Speaker Abbas could not escape admitting that this is an extreme breach of the debt ceiling and revenue security threshold set by Nigeria's fiscal laws.

Yet, not done, President Tinubu, even as he jetted out to France last week on a 10-day vacation, is seeking a new World Bank loan, a proposal of which Labour Party has learned is currently being prepared for Senate President Godswill Akpabio's "ayes have it" National Assembly choir.

The public might condemn Speaker Abbas as a co-culprit crying wolf over a collective guilt for Nigeria's calamitous debts profile since, as Speaker of the National Assembly, he presides over one of the two legislative chambers which approved Tinubu's borrowings.

True as that may be, Labour Party believes that Speaker Abbas' admission of President Tinubu as the architect-in-chief of Nigeria's skyscraping debts, although coming somewhat late, calls for commendation more than condemnation at this point. This is especially so if his alarm will help put some breaks on the APC administration's recklessness in loan procurements. It is better late than never.

The Labour Party enjoins all Nigerians to join Speaker Abbas' call advocating, in his own words, "stronger oversight, transparent borrowing practices, and a collective resolve to ensure that tangible and social returns match every naira borrowed."

At this juncture of our country's captivity in the grip of President Tinubu's fiscal management disasters, there is not a more cogent, urgent and compelling call to duty to God and country as the one being made now by Speaker Abbas.

Finally, the Labour Party wishes to recommend to Senate President Godswill Akpabio to emulate Speaker Abbas. Taking the initiative and leading from the front ahead of Akpabio, Mr. Speaker has shown the Senate President a resounding example of objective patriotism by the call to put Nigeria first henceforward in all public loans procurement through responsible oversight.

Going forward, both the Speaker and Senate President should act in accord to ensure that wayward and prodigal borrowings proposed henceforth by the Tinubu administration, which do not have clear achievable blueprint for tangible benefits in infrastructural development, economic wellbeing and security of Nigerians are outrightly rejected and thrown out.

In particular, before Senate President Akpabio accepts another loan request from President Tinubu and railroads his assembly of she-men to chorus "the ayes have it," he should remember history. Any people pushed to the wall by grinding poverty with nowhere to turn would defy all one day and turn on their oppressors.

The solution to preventing this is to end altogether the APC government's prodigal borrowing and squandering of loans. The alternative is to, at the minimum, heed Speaker Abbas' recommendations of strict oversight over loans and ensure commensurate returns in benefits to Nigerians.

LP Spokesperson — APC In a Fresh Plot to Infiltrate, Hijack Our Congress Structures

LP Spokesperson — APC In a Fresh Plot to Infiltrate, Hijack Our Congress Structures

Tony Akeni

The Interim Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party in Nigeria, Prince Tony Akeni has confirmed that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is currently in a fresh and desperate plots to infiltrate and hijack the party again.

The Labour Party is just coming out of a very long leadership crisis believed to have been politically motivated and sponsored by the ruling party. The  Apapa—Abure leadership imbroglio and later INEC insistence on tenure expiration of the Abure led leadership crippled the party's progress and momentum since 2023 general election.

With 2027 general election already in Sight, the Senator Nenadi Usman-led Labour Party (LP) has cried out over what it described as a desperate plot by the Bola Ahmed led federal government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to hijack its structures by infiltrating its ranks.

The party's leadership has consistently maintained it's opposition against Tinubu’s  unending love for foreign travels amidst Nigeria’s growing security and economic challenges.

According to Akeni the information reaching the party’s headquarters from various states of the federation showed that the ruling party was positioning its moles to infiltrate the party structures through the scheduled party congresses at the ward, local government, state, zonal, and ultimately, the national level.

“We have been made aware of the heinous plot by the ruling APC to infiltrate our ranks at all levels to derail our forthcoming congresses."

“If they fail, they plan to get a seat on our party’s table to continue from where they stopped after failing to use former National Chairman, Julius Abure, to distract us from our goal of rebuilding our party.

“Nigerians are also aware of what the current administration has turned our institutions, such as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), into."

“We are all witnesses to what transpired during the by-elections, which were held in 16 out of the 36 states recently, and the manipulation of the ongoing voter registration exercise."

“Our nation cannot afford to have a repeat of the era where the American boxer, Mike Tyson, the late pop star, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie appear on our voters’ register.'

“As a party, we will continue to urge Nigerian voters to be vigilant. Eternal vigilance, as they say, is the price we all must pay to protect our democracy."

“The body language of INEC as presently constituted gives it away as an institution which is only ready to pander to the whims and caprices of the ruling party."

“We can only pray that whosoever is coming into office after the tenure of the current INEC boss expires in November or December is not going to throw the confidence of Nigerians down the drain", he explained.

In a statement earlier issued by Akeni on behalf of the party, he criticised Tinubu’s seemingly unending love for foreign travels amidst Nigeria’s growing security and economic challenges.

He said the president’s trip this time around indicated that he was increasingly becoming allergic to staying at home to tackle the nation’s problems.

President Tinubu left Nigeria for a 10-day working vacation in France and the United Kingdom as part of his 2025 annual leave on Thursday.

Akeni noted that available records show that 135 million Nigerians fell into poverty within the first 18 months of Tinubu’s administration due to difficult economic policies.

He equally pointed out that galloping inflation, weakening of Nigeria’s currency, the naira, and insecurity have been the hallmark of Tinubu’s rule since he took power in 2023.

Akeni said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Nigeria for yet another of his many overseas trips. “This time, the trip is officially explained as a 10-day vacation and part of his 2025 annual leave, which he will spend in France and the United Kingdom.

“As President Tinubu takes to the sky, he leaves behind a country ravaged by economic hardship where 135 million citizens fell into poverty in the first 18 months of his administration, caused by his difficult economic policies.

“Tinubu also leaves behind an insecurity of historic proportions, where 57 Nigerians die every day from various forms of violent death.

“This amounts to seven deaths more than Ukraine’s war casualties, which lose 50 citizens per day in its full-scale war with Russia, according to research by Mediazona and The Book of Memory Group, corroborated by a similar BBC study.

“The Nigerian casualty figures exclude deaths from daily traffic accidents, Nigeria’s frequent boat mishaps, and other civil hazards.

“You will recall that President Tinubu had only sat in office for four months after his swearing in on May 29, 2023, when he flew overseas on his first annual vacation. This was on October 2, 2023.

“This means that under the APC governance manual, four months made up one year for the Nigerian president to go on an annual vacation. This is historic for a post-inaugural president because it doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world.

“Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu has travelled and virtually ‘lived’ outside Nigeria for nearly 160 days. This is almost half of an entire year in only two years of office.

“Tracing this unproductive trend backwards to Buhari’s days, records show that APC produces dinner and toothpick presidents who eat breakfast in Abuja, have lunch in Paris, and belch in London.

“They enjoy costly vacations abroad like children enjoy excursions to amusement parks. From Buhari’s administration to Tinubu’s current rule, that is the only reason why billions of naira they vote every year for the Aso Villa presidential clinic perpetually empty into unknown pockets, and the clinic’s medicine shelves do not have drugs for even cramps.

“From late Buhari to Tinubu, APC has continued to produce nomadic presidents whose medical and social tourism cost our country billions of Naira in taxpayers’ money.”

The Labour Party’s interim spokesman said the party will do things differently should Nigerians vote it into power come 2027.

According to him, it is the government’s responsibility to put in place a standard healthcare system that would cater to...

Tinubu Should End His Nomad Vacation And Give Nigerians Real Governance — Labour Party

More than 57 Nigerians die everyday from various forms of violent death

Tinubu on an endless vacation

Labour Party National Publicity Secretary (Interim)  Prince Tony Akeni has said the Nigerian President Bola Tinubu should end his incessant nomadic vacation and give Nigerians real governance.

Tony in a statement made available to the press men on Friday  said  Tinubu embark on vacation leaving behind a country ravaged by economic hardship where 135million citizens fell into poverty in the first 18months of his administration, caused by his difficult economic policies.

"Yesterday September 4, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Nigeria for yet another of his too many oversea trips."

"This time, the trip is officially explained as a 10-day vacation and part of his 2025 annual leave, which he will spend in France and the United Kingdom. "

"As President Tinubu takes to the sky, he leaves behind a country ravaged by economic hardship where 135million citizens fell into poverty in the first 18months of his administration, caused by his difficult economic policies. "

APC's AHA Presidents

You will recall that President Tinubu had only sat in office for four months after his swearing in on May 29, 2023 when he flew overseas on his first annual vacation. This was on October 2, 2023.

Prince Tony

"Nigeria of today can no longer afford At-Home-Abroad (AHA) nomadic leaders who have deliberately failed to build international standard health facilities in their own country but rather travel overseas for expensive extended periods, leaving their citizens trapped and helpless in the country's dangerous healthcare system, biting economic hardship, insecurity and all-round sufferings of our country's citizens."

"From late Buhari to Tinubu, APC has continued to produce nomad presidents whose medical and social tourism cost our country billions of naira in taxpayers money."

"Nigerians must ensure that the syndrome of AHA Presidents ends in 2027 by ending the APC run of our country and opting for a political party and president who will prioritize building for Nigerians global standard health facilities supremely equiped to treat the No. 1 citizen and presidents of other countries, thereby saving and additionally earning significant revenues for the country. "

"That is one of the promises and dividends of true democracy which the Labour Party stands for and will attain for Nigerians." Prince Tony concluded.

Farooq Kperogi's defense of Deji Adeyanju, a significant flaws and ethical breaches

Farooq Kperogi's defense of Deji Adeyanju, a significant flaws and ethical breaches

Farooq Kperogi is rightly acclaimed as a versatile academic and a titan of Nigerian media commentary. But, a closer examination of his record reveals significant flaws and ethical breaches that complicate his stature. For instance, during a period of grief, he publicly alluded to Aisha Buhari as being "divorced" from her recently deceased husband. In another instance, he diagnosed former President Muhammadu Buhari with "dementia" without medical authority.

These are not mere differences of opinion but rather demonstrative examples of a troubling propensity to cross the lines of public decency and responsible commentary in pursuit of provocation. Our discernment of his work must account for moments where his analysis appears to veer into ethically questionable territory.

It was in this context that I encountered his latest post: a curiously defensive and, I would argue, recreant polemic aimed squarely at undermining the legal merit of Peter Obi's suit against Adeyanju.

While Professor Farooq Kperogi's column presents itself as an "unemotional perspective," it is, in fact, a masterclass in constructing a narrative that selectively weaponises facts to defend defamation under the guise of robust public discourse. Its central flaw is the conflation of verifiable facts with malicious insinuation, and its argument, while intellectually stylish, is fundamentally unsound both legally and ethically.

The core of Kperogi's defense rests on two pillars: the legal doctrines of "truth" and "fair comment." But, his application of these doctrines is dangerously expansive. It's one thing to state that Peter Obi, as governor, invested state funds in a company linked to his former business interests, a matter of public record. It is entirely another to label that action "fraud" and its perpetrator a "fraud" and a "scum." The first is a fact that can be contextualised; the latter is a defamatory conclusion that imputes criminal intent without proof. The law recognises truth as a defense only if the defamatory imputation itself is true. Proving an underlying fact (the investment) does not automatically prove the truth of the malicious label (fraud) slapped onto it. Adeyanju’s rhetoric is not commentary; it is character assassination masquerading as critique.

Similarly, the "fair comment" doctrine protects honest expressions of opinion based on true facts. Kperogi points to the leaked audio as grounds for Adeyanju calling Obi a "religious bigot." But again, Adeyanju’s language transcends fair comment. A fair comment would be, "Obi's appeal to religious solidarity was divisive and cynical." Branding him a "bigot" is a definitive, pejorative judgment of character that the factual record does not incontrovertibly support. The doctrine is not a license to leap from a single data point to a damning and absolute personal indictment.

Kperogi’s argument commits a critical error by excising Adeyanju’s most egregious and unsupported claims into a narrow, dismissible sidebar. He admits that claims like Obi "pays all influencers online" are baseless and that calling him "always a scum" is a reckless personal insult. Yet, he bizarrely argues that Obi should only sue on these "narrow grounds," as if a defamation suit is a surgical strike rather than a response to the entire, toxic ecosystem of falsehoods that Adeyanju has cultivated. A defendant cannot poison the well with outright lies and then claim protection for the entire contaminated body of his speech because a few droplets within it contain mineral traces of truth.

The most pernicious part of Kperogi’s thesis is the assertion that public figures like Obi are "cowards" for suing and that such lawsuits are inherently "SLAPPs" (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation). This is a grave misunderstanding of power dynamics. While SLAPPs are a real tool of the powerful, the premise that a private citizen activist is inherently the "weaker target" is naive. In the court of public opinion, amplified by social media, an activist like Adeyanju can wield immense power to shape narratives and destroy reputations with near-impunity. To suggest that a public figure must silently endure a relentless campaign of defamation, which includes both verifiable facts and outright lies woven together, is to demand they relinquish their right to a legal defense entirely. The right to "counter in the marketplace of ideas" is nullified when the marketplace is being flooded with sewage. Litigation is not always intimidation; sometimes, it is the only tool left to demand accountability for outright falsehoods.

Kperogi’s column operates on a dangerous slippery slope. By arguing that because some allegations have a basis in fact, Obi therefore forfeits his right to challenge any of them, he creates a charter for defamers everywhere. All one must do is mix a teaspoon of truth into a barrel of lies to gain immunity. The health of Nigerian democracy is not served by allowing activists to be "uncouth" and "defamatory." It is served by fostering a culture of rigorous, responsible criticism that respects the line between holding power to account and engaging in wanton character annihilation.

Peter Obi's lawsuit is not an attempt to criminalise uncomfortable facts. It is a challenge to the malicious and unsupported conclusions that Deji Adeyanju has grafted onto those facts. A truly "unemotional perspective" would recognise that the law exists precisely to adjudicate this difference, and that no one, regardless of their stature or profession, should be expected to accept being called a "fraud" and a "scum" as simply the price of a public life.

LABOUR PARTY PRESS STATEMENT: OPEN NOTE TO DEJI ADEYANJU — AMBITION WITHOUT PRINCIPLE IS WORSE THAN SUBSTANCE ABUSE

LABOUR PARTY PRESS STATEMENT: OPEN NOTE TO DEJI ADEYANJU — AMBITION WITHOUT PRINCIPLE IS WORSE THAN SUBSTANCE ABUSE

By Prince Tony Akeni,

Labour Party National Publicity Secretary (Interim)

Deji Adeyanju & Prince Tony

Substance abuse go far beyond narcotics intake, meth, _colos,_ heroin or other cerebrum invading and dementing hard drugs.

Ambition without principle is worse than substance abuse. Any mental activity conceived in the labyrinths of ambition-damaged mind which distorts rational thinking and actions, either at a cost to the individual or to society at large, is as dangerous or more dangerous than substance abuse.

These include uncontrollable drive for material acquisitions instead of society serving legacy, typical of officials of the ruling administration. It accounts for the pathologically obsessive attack rabies Deji Adeyanju harbours in his blood streams against His Excellency Peter Obi.

When ambition is unbridled and abused, blackmail becomes a strategy. The French social philosopher Oscar Wilde captured this when he wrote: "Ambition is the last refuge of the failure." George MacDonald was even closer home on Deji Adeyanju about greed driven hatred in his defining words: "Ambition is the evil shadow of aspiration."

Learning from mentors, Daniel Bwala and Reno Omokri

With the advent of the emilokan Presidency in 2023, Deji has learned crucial financial lessons. He learnt from his new mentors, the once merciless scorners and critics of President Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, the president's Special Adviser on Media & Public Communications, and Reno Omokri, the lynch pin of Nigeria's stomach infrastructure pseudo-critics.

Deji learned that the shortest route to Tinubu's lake of federal treasury, bloated by the removal of subsidy, is to volunteer bootlicking services in either Tinubu's sycophancy orchestra or enlist in his infantry of attack dogs trained for the jugulars of APC's opposition leaders, chief of whom is Mr. Peter Obi.

It is therefore not difficult to understand why, over the last several months, Deji Adeyanju frequently digs into Omokri's and Bwala's bags of heathen lies and blackmail manuals in pursuit of Tinubu's pockets and Tinubu's support for Deji's 2027 ambitions.

One will, however, advise that Deji should not let the lures of corrupt administration politicians acquiring estates, plazas and mansions all over the capital and countryside make him succumb to unbridled ambitions for same.

Appointment or wealth by blackmail of the Labour Party's presidential phenom, Mr. Peter Obi, should not blind him to the true depths of the multi-dimensional sufferings of the Nigerian people on whose behalf he once claimed to be an activist for good governance, neither the excruciating urgency for the rescue of the Nigerian nation from second colonization by the ruling APC.

A good Nigerian

Fortunately, there are still good Nigerians contrary to the view that holds otherwise. Fair-minded and upright citizens who do not need inducement, personal benefit or bribe to stand up for the truth.

One such Nigerian, Mr. Ike Abonyi, a reputable journalist and author, was present in July 2022 when the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, His Excellency Peter Obi, in his uncommon humility, simplicity and amity, met Deji Adeyanju for a mutual conversation about their political interests in the 2023 elections. This involved Obi running for Nigeria's Presidency on the platform of the Labour Party, and Deji for the Abuja Municipal Federal Constituency seat in the National Assembly potentially also on the platform of the Labour Party.

It was Mr. Abonyi, a common friend of both Obi and Deji, who brokered and witnessed the meeting from its first minute to the end. With a rational, psychologically stable individual, it was the kind of privileged private conversation between two citizens that ought to have been treasured and kept that way eternally. But not so with Deji. Instead Deji turned it into a feedstock of garbage fiction for his imaginary social media empire.

On his part Abonyi has since publicly attested that not one moment in the entire meeting which he moderated was Obi involved in any act or confession of corruption involving investing Anambra state's money in his private family business while he was governor of the state. Deji has not countered or contradicted him.

Traditional "welcome" kola, logistics goodwill

In most parts of Nigeria and many African societies, it is age-old tradition to offer a guest the traditional kola nut fruit, complemented with supporting physical cash called "wedge" down south. Where the kola nut is not available, the custom is these days commonly monetized.

In modern times, this tradition has expanded into logistics goodwill, and sometimes affinity empathy where a host extends money support to a visitor that may have travelled some distance or denied himself other activities of the day to visit a host, especially a financially well-off host.

It is not called bribe but custom because it is not given to cover up, solicit or co-opt the visitor into an act of corruption, crime investigation or scandal.

Thus, even if, without conceding, Peter Obi had offered Deji Adeyanju a physical kola nut or the monetized version of the custom, it is not an act of corruption but a courtesy of custom.

It therefore amounts to an extremely malevolent, duplicitous and despicable misrepresentation of an African tradition for Deji to convert the gesture to an arsenal of political blackmail as Deji has notoriously set out to do against Peter Obi before the world.

To garnish his fairy tale with a facade of credulity in his double-down on a Channels TV interview, Deji added that during the conversation with Peter Obi, Obi confessed to him that he invested Anambra state funds in his private family business, the bases upon which Deji accuses and defames Peter Obi as "corrupt." An illogical, infantile, apparent concoction.

However, from all over Nigeria and far beyond our borders, the Labour Party is delighted with and thankful for the feedback we are receiving from millions of Nigerians on Deji's self-immolating tinder of lies.

Nigerians are asking: what did His Excellency Peter Obi give Deji a "bribe" envelope for, two months after winning his own Presidential ticket of the Labour Party at Asaba? Was it to help Deji bribe his way through party primaries over which Obi had no control and did not assert one?

What, in Deji's poorly woven imagination, led Obi to confess to him that as governor he dipped his hands into Anambra state treasury? Was it for forgiveness of sins because at that time Deji was the in-house catechist of Anambra Government House Chapel and Treasury?

Deji knows this.

In every election of Nigeria since 2023 to date, Tinubu sets the tone for violent brigandage, killings and mayhem against opposition voters and citizens throughout Nigeria.

The traumatic memory of countless pro-Obi voters lynched, bloodied and some gunned to death, including pregnant victims and housewives during the 2023 elections are still fresh. This anomaly has been emphatically entrenched as the norm in Nigeria's elections especially following Tinubu's political philosophy of "snatch, grab and run" away with ballot results and power. Deji Adeyanju knows this.

On the contrary, all over the country, rightfully loud and strident against bad governance, members of Peter Obi's Obidient movement peacefully type their views on public governance, protests and dissenting opinions from keyboards and digital space from the quiet of their homes. They do not bear guns, hurt a soul or kill. Deji  knows this.

On the other hand, Tinubu's APC youths and zealots run wild committing mayhem, murder, myriad havoc and life threatening violence against dissenting voices all over the country, especially during election activities. Deji Adeyanju knows this.

On November 24, 2024, over mere NURTW drivers union election conflict, a conflict over which the Appeal Court of Nigeria had already delivered judgment against President Tinubu supported faction of MC Oluomo, thugs of the President's violence and mayhem generalissimo, Oluomo, audaciously stormed in broad day the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) headquarters in Utako.

Armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, MC Oluomo's thugs broke into the NUJ headquarter conference hall where the Appeal Court victorious drivers faction were holding a press meeting.

The thugs seized and beat up everyone within their grip, violently chased out the participants and in the process destroyed the cameras and equipment of several journalists who were covering the event. A felony committed with impunity before the eyes and right in the hive of the Nigerian press. Adeyanju knows this.

Yet Deji obsessively and frequently but wrongly label the peaceful Obidient movement of Peter Obi as an unruly, abusive and intolerant body, as he disingenuously depicted in his recent Channels TV interview. Only sheer hypocrisy and his vaulting narcotics-like ambition to join Reno Omokri and Daniel Bwala for Tinubu's employment, contract or consultancy showers can be responsible for that.

Otherwise, how could Deji switch his once copiously confessed preference for the benevolent dove personality, sterling economic intelligence and towering character content of Peter Obi whom Deji has hailed numerous times as the best presidential choice in the entire country, suddenly switch preference and campaign for President Tinubu whose violent supporters massacre voters and send some to early graves in virtually every election since 2023?

Doesn't Deji know this?
