Kidnapped School Children: Sir Dele Abiola Calls for time to time updates from the government

Kidnapped School Children: Sir Dele Abiola Calls for time to time updates from the government

OGBOMOSHO — As the school children and their teachers kidnapped by the bandits terrorists are still in captivity, Sir Dele Abiola has called for a time to time updates from the government.

According to the former Labour Party leader in Oyo State, the last we heard was that a thousand Forest Guards were deployed and that the terrorists have been trapped in the Old Oyo National Park, since then there have not been any meaningful update either from Oyo State government or the federal government.

"The kidnapped School Children in Ogbomosho zone of Oyo State should not be like the Chiboch girls. The government owned us the responsibility of providing updates to Nigerians."

Sir Dele during the internet calls said: "Declaring curfew by Oyo State Government and the diversionary tactics with Akara and Kulikuli empowerment by the Presidency via the office of the first Lady Oluremi Tinubu can not help. The leadership must wake up to their responsibilities and delivered. The country must be safe for all and sundry."

'More importantly, the leadership in Oyo and Abuja should ensure that, the Bandits' and their kidnapped victims are not evacuated by the terrorist networks who have reported being using helicopters. "We have seen it over the web and social media that helicopters are being used to supply foods and ammunition to the criminals unrestricted in some parts of this country. "

"If the Nigeria's airspace is so porous that helicopters are being used for supplies of weapon and foods to the Bandits' and terrorists threatening our peace and existence without any accountability, the Leaders complicity can not be exonerated." He said.

On May 15, 2026, armed bandits raided three schools in the Oriire Local Government Area in Ogbomosho zone of Oyo State, abducting at least 39 school children and seven teachers.

The victims who were seized by the terrorists from Baptist Nursery and Primary School (Yawota), Community Grammar School (Esiele), and L.A. Primary School (Ahoro-Esinele), remain in captivity.

The bandits killed two teachers, including Michael Oyedokun, who was gruesomely beheaded while in captivity. The Movement Nigeria (TMN) a candle Night-Vigil in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital in his honour.

Report in the public domain is that security forces have cornered the kidnappers and blocked their escape routes, forcing them to hold the victims inside the Old Oyo National Park.

Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ordered the deployment of special security forces and forest guards, while Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is said to be coordinating efforts with local vigilantes and security agencies.

Makinde has urged the public to report any suspicious activities by calling the toll-free 615 helpline.

The June 12 Democracy day rally and protest in different states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were dedicated to a call for an improved security of lives and properties in the country.

Like never before, Nigeria, the most populous black nation on earth has been suffering from attacks of Boko Haram, ISWAP, Herdsmen, bandits and kidnapping for ransoms since 2009.

NIGERIA: MAXIMUM PAINS FOR GREATER NUMBERS OF PEOPLE — SIR DELE ABIOLA

NIGERIA: MAXIMUM PAINS FOR GREATER NUMBERS OF PEOPLE — SIR DELE ABIOLA

"Nature has placed mankind under the governance of two sovereign masters, pain and pleasure. It is for them alone to point out what we ought to do, as well as to determine what we shall do. On one hand the standard of right and wrong, on the other hand the chain of causes and effects, are fastened to their throne" — Jeremy Bentham.

The ultimate reason behind the postulation for the creation of a sovereign modern State and government as the agency of state is the  ultimate satisfactions and the realizations of human personality. This , Kant had treated in his famous dictum, that morality consist in treating persons as ends  and not as means. And for this same too, Jefferson courageously affirmed when he said the government exist to protect and realize the inalienable rights of man.

Among the inalienable and natural rights; right to life, self defense among others.

For the society to escape the Hobbesian state of Nature and the survival of the fittest, where lives was described as nasty, brutish, poor, solitary and short. The existence of state and it's agencies enable individuals to submit parts of these inalienable rights to state for equitable redistribution of justice with fairness and equity.

The above defined the primary responsibilities of the State as primarily protection of lives and properties, and provisions of essential services which are beyond the capacity of the individuals. The resources which would have hitherto based on the survival of the fittest placed in the domains of the State and it's agencies.

In the pre slavery Africa and pre colonial era, communalism thrived among the people, communities and cleans. The survival of the fittest had no place contrary to today's African States especially Nigeria in particular which had long ago returned to primitive acquisition era by the privileged few/minority who are for the sake of their greediness, become the agents of enemies without as they themselves emerged the enemies within against anything that Will lead to the common good, happiness and pleasure of the majority in the land.

The comparisons and acceptability of governments, regime by regime have absolutely been based on the two sovereign masters as postulated by Bentham, pains and pleasures as occasioned by the wellbeing of the majority starting with the protection of the inalienable rights of man — protection of lives and properties, and provisions of essential services to the citizenry.  While Jeremy Bentham called for maximum pleasures for greater numbers of people, it has been maximum pains for greater numbers of people in Nigeria by any standard of measurement in this global Capital of world's poverty.

In the cases where a State failed in these primary responsibilities, it is also natural for the man to reclaimed his inalienable rights to ensure his survival, in this regard, the society may eventually resumes/return to the Hobbesian state before any regrouping to ensure orderliness. This maybe inevitable when all necessary provisions and institutional redresses have failed. Nigeria under this current civilian regime is toying such a line.

Insecurity in Nigeria today is in all fronts starting with insecurity of lives and properties of the Nigerian citizens ranging to the socioeconomic perils where citizens are most concerned again. The sociopolitical sphere of our national life that should afford the people the opportunity as occasioned by maximum pains, in what to do, especially for leadership redress and change via ballots have been compromised already. The just concluded Ekiti governorship election clearly portrayed what to come by in the 2027 general elections with already dilapidated and fractioned opposition political parties, courtesy of the incumbent's agenda to perpetuate itself even in the face of abysmal failures.

The compromised electoral umpire in the country (Independent National Electoral Commission - INEC) allegedly gave to the pro Terrorists APC led government, over 400,000 uncollected voter cards that undermine the outcome of the said election in favour of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

As the abysmal failures of the Tinubu led APC government is more glaring to the whole wide world with numerous victims of insecurity across the length and breadth of our country innumerable, and many living in perpetual fear, redeeming our present unsavoury image in the international community as a crime conquered nation, giving hope to the citizens that they are saved seemed an uneasy tasks as sociopolitical system is firmly captured already by a group using insecurity as a weapon for both wealth and power capturing.

This insecurity, it has become impossible for the watching world and Nigerians in particular not to believe that the government of the day at all tiers and the security hierarchies at their command have allowed insecurity to deteriorate to this level of daily peril and bring our country totally to her knees because some unpatriotic elements in position of policy, decisions and actions benefit from the protracted reign of terrors and insecurity in our country.

It is an unarguable truth that today, virtually no inch of Nigeria soil, from the far north to the south, is safe for her citizens. This is a direct by-product of leadership failure in the government's foremost constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and properties.

Nothing is wrong with the Nigerian State except leadership failures as a result of compromises, and ineffectiveness as a result of incompetency. The country can no longer be managed by those who claimed that they loved the country, have the fear of God but lack capacity to deliver, who have lost touch of the reality of the modern governance.

Sir Dele Abiola

Has Nigerian State ever been without damming security challenges? No. From slavery and pre colonial days, and after the Independence to Civil war and even till date, the geographical entity called Nigeria has always been a land of intermittent pogroms. Only that the state and government apparatus especially post civil war have been living up to the expectations of the people compared to the situation since the APC leadership emergency since 2015. Terrorism in today's Nigeria, without much argument can be adjudged as the state owned and sponsored institution and indeed a very lucrative institution for that matter but at the expenses of the happiness of the common man and the interests of the majority of the citizenry served as the alternative for gone for the satisfaction of the greediness of the minority who firmly captured the country.

Nigeria of today is caught in a deplorable quagmire where, gradually to this time, our farmers can no longer access their farms and many villages have been deserted as a result of bandits' attacks and plunder, and mass abduction for ransom, leading to food shortages in our dear land. Sadly, this has further deteriorated to an all-time nightmare where innocent and tender school children and their teachers have joined the menu of terrorist abductions and massacre. The recent been in Oriire Local government of Oyo state, is a condemnable trend in the strongest term.

Today, the country's leadership have failed us in all major primary purposes and reasons for the existence of Governance in the first instance. The protection of lives and properties which comes first as the primary responsibility of government have been betrayed.

Secondly in the socioeconomic arena, the provisions of essential services by the government have ever been at zero level while the unsecured and unprotected citizens have been subjected to heavy and maximum taxations. For NIGERIANS Since the emergence of APC leadership in 2015 till date, it has been maximum pains for greater numbers of people.

Contrary to the country's leadership claims, terrorists are not prodigal sons , nor are they our brothers and as such no  genuine and patriotic individuals will approve negotiations with the criminals threatening our existence , let alone training and their reabsorption into any State institution, except those profiting from the discomfort of the majority. THE WHOLE SALES TERRORISM, KIDNAPPING AND BANDITRY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY CAN NOT STAND.

Keeping quiet by Nigerians can no longer help anyone, Nigerians must ensure the country's leadership is accountable and ensure the school children and others in the captivity of the bandit terrorists are brought back home safely by any means possible by both the federal and state governments' collaboration.

If the leadership compromised and the desires to profit from our collective pains are removed, Nigeria State have the capacity to make the country a safer place for all and sundry.

IMMEDIATE AND LONG TERM SOLUTION TO AVOID EVENTUAL RETURN TO STATE OF NATURE

1. Immediate securing of our schools (public and private) with deployment of existing security operatives or creation of a special paramilitary cadets for this purpose. Closures of schools can never be a good ideal.

2. Empowerment of 50 percent of Nigerian Youths in agriculture and agro-allied businesses will compelled the drastic reduction of banditry.

3. Practical teaching and learning system in all of our educational institutions to produce self-dependent , self-reliant and productive individuals who will not be jobless or writing applications after graduation.

4. Firmly and effectively securing our boarders.

5. Publishing names and prosecuting financials of terrorism in Nigeria as well as the prosecution of terrorists by death penalty.

6. Compensation for the victims of terrorism and their immediate families.

7. Satellite and drones deployment will minimize the collateral damages on the parts of our security personnel.

8. Alternatively, Citizens should be fully armed for self defense.

WITH PAIN ON THE THRONE DITCHING OUT MAXIMUM TORTURES FROM NORTH TO SOUTH, EAST TO WEST, NIGERIANS NEED TO DEVELOP A BLUEPRINT AND ROADMAP FOR POSITIVE CHANGE THAT WILL LEAD THE COUNTRY TO THE DESIRED POLITICAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STABILITY THAT THE CITIZENS DESPERATELY DESIRED.

A GENERATIONAL CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY'S LEADERSHIP IS A PANACEA.

Oyo State, Federal Govt Should Liaise For Timely Release Of The School Children And Their Teachers From Captivity— Sir Dele Abiola

Oyo State, Federal Govt Should Liaise For Timely Release Of The School Children And Their Teachers From Captivity— Sir Dele Abiola

Olateju Davidson

Ogbomosho — Sir Dele Abiola on Sunday called on the Oyo State and Federal Government to timely work together for immediate release of the kidnapped School Children and their teachers from the captivity. More than 15 days now that rround 46 school children including infants were kidnapped from Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Orire local government of Oyo State.

Speaking to our correspondent, he said the primary reason for the existence of state and government is to ensure Security of lives and properties of the people.

"The essence of Governance is to ensure Security of lives and properties of the citizens."

"Provide essential services. The Nigerian government failed in all fronts"

"No any essential service, no security of lives and properties. Only an endless exploitation and taxing of the already impoverished population."

Sir Dele Abiola who recently resigned as the chairman of the Oyo State Labour Party said, "Insecurity has become the business of the pro terrorists political elites. Nigerians must brace up for the worst and be ready to confront evil and pro terrorists leadership that's causing death and displacement, using insecurity to exploring more of our common mineral resources."

"At least, they should consider the pains these infants in the forest are going through as well as the level of anxieties that their parents are passing through too and act decisively."

"Nigeria State is down already. Their are compromises both at the levels of political class and security apparatus."

"The resultant effects of insecurity in terms of banditary , terrorism and kidnapping are glaring for all to see. We have been seeing effects of insecurity on our economy. Nigerians are groaning for pain because farm products are too expensive in the market as of today."

Sir Dele Abiola

The farmers can not dare going to farms, And as a result, in all Nigerian markets, pepper, onion, tomatoes, palm-oil, maize, groundnut, yam, beans, plantain, melon and other farm produce are extra ordinarily expensive."

Bandits, terrorists and Fulani herdsmen are creating fear.

Kidnapping, cattle rustling and mass killings or abduction in many parts of the country are endangering our economy. In Adamawa, Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa States, farmers are relocating to nearby cities just to run away for their life. Most of them have abandoned their farm and left their villages to the cities. In Kwara State, many towns and communities are deserted by the islamist terrorists.

From Savannah, across the River Niger, the terrorists have been coming to South West.

They attacked two villages, Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Orire local government of Oyo State. Most of the villagers have already left those villages, even the nearby villages are also leaving their farm and run to cities for safety.

"The unfortunate point here is that the government both at the State and Federal are playing politics with the lives of the innocent underage children and their teachers."

This is what is happening all over Nigeria, this is affecting general well-being of Nigerians. Foods are cost, there is massive job loss, it's also affecting our micro and macro economics.

"As the APC Government has been treating terrorists with hand gloves since 2015, failing to act fast to curb the issue of insecurity, the citizens must also at this point speak up and call this leadership to accountability." He concluded.

Protocols:

Introductions: We give thanks to the Lord God Almighty, who against all odds and entanglement, made it possible for us as a party , to move forward.

Against all odds from within and without. The opposition political parties are unstoppable. There is nothing new confronting us as a political party that is hidden from Nigerians as the ruling APC are hell bent on dragging the country towards a one party line but this has failed.

1. Labour Party': The Labour Party's ideal of social democracy and the determined service to the masses make it a standout political platform, irrespective of the current challenges that might be confronting us, the party will certainly outlive any political party in this country. Ours is to be patient, tactical and be determined in making it work.

2. Coalition not Merger: The ongoing coalition in the country is a panacea that wrecked havock to the agenda behind making the country to forcefully toe a line of one party system. The coalition is a testament and resolved that Nigerians will never be stranded in the face of all shorts of distablisation of opposition political parties and grand Manipulations as we have been witnessing since 2023 general elections.

3. Supreme Court and INEC: the Supreme Court of Nigeria had in it's land mark judgement cleared all the debris of the leadership tussle placed before the party. However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a willing tool of illegality and as an umpire if the ruling political oligarchy against the Nigerian people has been aiding, abetting and promoting such illegality not only against the Labour Party but against the constitution, Nigerian State as well as against the Democratic principles and ethics. We believed and affirmed today that forces of darkness shall failed and disappear as we entered the dawn of a new day.

4. APC and the will of the people: The ruling All Progressive Party (APC,) at the center since it's enthronement in 2015 till date has demonstrated itself as a chronic anti-people in policies and programs. The APC leadership has only succeeded in making the lives of the majority miserable and brutished . The Pro Terrorists and Bandits led government only continue to aggressively impoverishing the masses the more. This is a true assessment of the country's leadership. Therefore, we can't but set out with a renewed strength and determination in building an enduring platform that must outlast the present challenges beyond the 2027 general elections

5. Mobilisation and membership revalidation: As we set out officially today, our primary agenda inline with national Body of our party under Distinguished leadership of Senator Nenadi Esther Usman and Senator Darlington Nwokocha is to embark on mobilisation into our party of fresh members as well as the revalidation of the existing membership. This we must do with a renewed commitments and seals.

6. Finally, the principles of accountability, honestly and open arms and integrity shall be the guards that will guide this leadership in Oyo State.

7. Thank you all.

Labour party!!!

Forward ever!!!

Obedient Movement in Oyo Rejects Tanko's Imposition of Akinyemi

Obedient Movement in Oyo Rejects Tanko's Imposition of Akinyemi

 Anthony Ufoh

Leaders and members of various Obidient support groups in Oyo State have come together to dissociate themselves from the state leadership under Ayo Akinyemi.

During the buildup to the 2023 election, there were two parallel structures of the Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) in Oyo State.

Ayo Akinyemi allegedly hijacked the structure from Pastor Oaks by playing a tribal card, with the help of the Labour Party Chairman. Pastor Oaks led the first one-million-man march in Oyo State, which brought the Labour Party to the limelight.

Akinyemi re-emerged in the Obidient movement picture in 2025 after the Southwest conference in Lagos, where Dr Tanko identified with other leaders.

However, Akinyemi allegedly repeated his pattern of hijacking leadership. This time, he fronted a candidate, Dr Dexter Akin Alamu, in the bye-election, who eventually garnered 256 votes.

The Ayo Akinyemi Faction reportedly sponsored Dr Tanko’s flight and hotel reservations to facilitate his recognition as the Obidient leader in the state, contrary to an appointment letter earlier issued by the National Directorate of the Obidient movement and signed by the Global Director, Dr. Tanko Yunusa.

Akinyemi is known to switch sides when financial interests are involved. He publicly aligned with the PDP during the 2023 election and issued a press statement against Peter Obi’s birthday rally, flaunting national orders.

It’s also very disappointing to hear that our principal, whom we have been working tirelessly for since 2023, nonsto,p came to Ibadan without our knowledge, only to see that it’s the usurpers that were notified and they chose not to carry others along

We abide only by your letter that appointed some leaders earlier this year, which appointed a neutral person from 2 coalitions to lead the state (Dele Abiola), signed by the global directorate office.

The aggrieved Obidient leaders of several support groups in the state categorically state that the Obidient movement leadership led by Dr Tanko Yunusa cannot impose a leader on them, as politics is local and Dr Tanko doesn’t reside in Oyo and can’t dictate who should lead us.

We will as well  withdraw our support if Tanko insists on imposing Ayo Akinyemi, who claims to have followers, until the national body of the Obidient Movement do the needful by allowing a level playing ground to enable the state actors to test their popularity through votes
