Oyo State, Federal Govt Should Liaise For Timely Release Of The School Children And Their Teachers From Captivity— Sir Dele Abiola

Oyo State, Federal Govt Should Liaise For Timely Release Of The School Children And Their Teachers From Captivity— Sir Dele Abiola

Olateju Davidson

Ogbomosho — Sir Dele Abiola on Sunday called on the Oyo State and Federal Government to timely work together for immediate release of the kidnapped School Children and their teachers from the captivity. More than 15 days now that rround 46 school children including infants were kidnapped from Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Orire local government of Oyo State.

Speaking to our correspondent, he said the primary reason for the existence of state and government is to ensure Security of lives and properties of the people.

"The essence of Governance is to ensure Security of lives and properties of the citizens."

"Provide essential services. The Nigerian government failed in all fronts"

"No any essential service, no security of lives and properties. Only an endless exploitation and taxing of the already impoverished population."

Sir Dele Abiola who recently resigned as the chairman of the Oyo State Labour Party said, "Insecurity has become the business of the pro terrorists political elites. Nigerians must brace up for the worst and be ready to confront evil and pro terrorists leadership that's causing death and displacement, using insecurity to exploring more of our common mineral resources."

"At least, they should consider the pains these infants in the forest are going through as well as the level of anxieties that their parents are passing through too and act decisively."

"Nigeria State is down already. Their are compromises both at the levels of political class and security apparatus."

"The resultant effects of insecurity in terms of banditary , terrorism and kidnapping are glaring for all to see. We have been seeing effects of insecurity on our economy. Nigerians are groaning for pain because farm products are too expensive in the market as of today."

Sir Dele Abiola

The farmers can not dare going to farms, And as a result, in all Nigerian markets, pepper, onion, tomatoes, palm-oil, maize, groundnut, yam, beans, plantain, melon and other farm produce are extra ordinarily expensive."

Bandits, terrorists and Fulani herdsmen are creating fear.

Kidnapping, cattle rustling and mass killings or abduction in many parts of the country are endangering our economy. In Adamawa, Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa States, farmers are relocating to nearby cities just to run away for their life. Most of them have abandoned their farm and left their villages to the cities. In Kwara State, many towns and communities are deserted by the islamist terrorists.

From Savannah, across the River Niger, the terrorists have been coming to South West.

They attacked two villages, Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Orire local government of Oyo State. Most of the villagers have already left those villages, even the nearby villages are also leaving their farm and run to cities for safety.

"The unfortunate point here is that the government both at the State and Federal are playing politics with the lives of the innocent underage children and their teachers."

This is what is happening all over Nigeria, this is affecting general well-being of Nigerians. Foods are cost, there is massive job loss, it's also affecting our micro and macro economics.

"As the APC Government has been treating terrorists with hand gloves since 2015, failing to act fast to curb the issue of insecurity, the citizens must also at this point speak up and call this leadership to accountability." He concluded.

Introductions: We give thanks to the Lord God Almighty, who against all odds and entanglement, made it possible for us as a party , to move forward.

Against all odds from within and without. The opposition political parties are unstoppable. There is nothing new confronting us as a political party that is hidden from Nigerians as the ruling APC are hell bent on dragging the country towards a one party line but this has failed.

1. Labour Party': The Labour Party's ideal of social democracy and the determined service to the masses make it a standout political platform, irrespective of the current challenges that might be confronting us, the party will certainly outlive any political party in this country. Ours is to be patient, tactical and be determined in making it work.

2. Coalition not Merger: The ongoing coalition in the country is a panacea that wrecked havock to the agenda behind making the country to forcefully toe a line of one party system. The coalition is a testament and resolved that Nigerians will never be stranded in the face of all shorts of distablisation of opposition political parties and grand Manipulations as we have been witnessing since 2023 general elections.

3. Supreme Court and INEC: the Supreme Court of Nigeria had in it's land mark judgement cleared all the debris of the leadership tussle placed before the party. However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a willing tool of illegality and as an umpire if the ruling political oligarchy against the Nigerian people has been aiding, abetting and promoting such illegality not only against the Labour Party but against the constitution, Nigerian State as well as against the Democratic principles and ethics. We believed and affirmed today that forces of darkness shall failed and disappear as we entered the dawn of a new day.

4. APC and the will of the people: The ruling All Progressive Party (APC,) at the center since it's enthronement in 2015 till date has demonstrated itself as a chronic anti-people in policies and programs. The APC leadership has only succeeded in making the lives of the majority miserable and brutished . The Pro Terrorists and Bandits led government only continue to aggressively impoverishing the masses the more. This is a true assessment of the country's leadership. Therefore, we can't but set out with a renewed strength and determination in building an enduring platform that must outlast the present challenges beyond the 2027 general elections

5. Mobilisation and membership revalidation: As we set out officially today, our primary agenda inline with national Body of our party under Distinguished leadership of Senator Nenadi Esther Usman and Senator Darlington Nwokocha is to embark on mobilisation into our party of fresh members as well as the revalidation of the existing membership. This we must do with a renewed commitments and seals.

6. Finally, the principles of accountability, honestly and open arms and integrity shall be the guards that will guide this leadership in Oyo State.

7. Thank you all.

Labour party!!!

Forward ever!!!

Obedient Movement in Oyo Rejects Tanko's Imposition of Akinyemi

Obedient Movement in Oyo Rejects Tanko's Imposition of Akinyemi

 Anthony Ufoh

Leaders and members of various Obidient support groups in Oyo State have come together to dissociate themselves from the state leadership under Ayo Akinyemi.

During the buildup to the 2023 election, there were two parallel structures of the Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) in Oyo State.

Ayo Akinyemi allegedly hijacked the structure from Pastor Oaks by playing a tribal card, with the help of the Labour Party Chairman. Pastor Oaks led the first one-million-man march in Oyo State, which brought the Labour Party to the limelight.

Akinyemi re-emerged in the Obidient movement picture in 2025 after the Southwest conference in Lagos, where Dr Tanko identified with other leaders.

However, Akinyemi allegedly repeated his pattern of hijacking leadership. This time, he fronted a candidate, Dr Dexter Akin Alamu, in the bye-election, who eventually garnered 256 votes.

The Ayo Akinyemi Faction reportedly sponsored Dr Tanko’s flight and hotel reservations to facilitate his recognition as the Obidient leader in the state, contrary to an appointment letter earlier issued by the National Directorate of the Obidient movement and signed by the Global Director, Dr. Tanko Yunusa.

Akinyemi is known to switch sides when financial interests are involved. He publicly aligned with the PDP during the 2023 election and issued a press statement against Peter Obi’s birthday rally, flaunting national orders.

It’s also very disappointing to hear that our principal, whom we have been working tirelessly for since 2023, nonsto,p came to Ibadan without our knowledge, only to see that it’s the usurpers that were notified and they chose not to carry others along

We abide only by your letter that appointed some leaders earlier this year, which appointed a neutral person from 2 coalitions to lead the state (Dele Abiola), signed by the global directorate office.

The aggrieved Obidient leaders of several support groups in the state categorically state that the Obidient movement leadership led by Dr Tanko Yunusa cannot impose a leader on them, as politics is local and Dr Tanko doesn’t reside in Oyo and can’t dictate who should lead us.

We will as well  withdraw our support if Tanko insists on imposing Ayo Akinyemi, who claims to have followers, until the national body of the Obidient Movement do the needful by allowing a level playing ground to enable the state actors to test their popularity through votes
