Follow-up to Sochi summit: Russia, Ghana reaffirm commitment to deepen cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields

Following the context of the outcome of the Russia-Africa summit held in Sochi on October 24, 2019, Russia and Ghana have reaffirmed mutual commitment to intensify the political dialogue, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Russia Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware, at her request.

According a the Russia's Foreign Ministry source, the two diplomats had a substantive discussion on important current issues concerning the further development of the traditionally friendly Russian-Ghanaian relations, including in the context of the outcome of the Russia-Africa summit held in Sochi on October 24, 2019, and attended by President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo.

They also reaffirmed Moscow and Accra’s mutual commitment to intensify the political dialogue, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields.
