The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Audu Jinjiri, Confirming the incident said the suspect who is a drug addict, used a cutlass to hack his brother, 40 years old, to death.
Gambo told the police that his brother owned more cows than him and this had always caused a rift between them.
The rift took a different turn when he picked up a cutlass and hacked Haladu to death during an argument on Wednesday.
The deceased was rushed to the Gwaram General Hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctors. Jinjiri said the remains of the deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites while the case would be transferred to the State Criminal, Intelligence and Investigation Department in Dutse, for further investigation.
