Seyi Makinde issues a stop work order on the construction of 32 kilometers road awarded by Ajimobi since May 2017 at the cost of #67 billion

Governor Makinde visited the Ibadan Circular Road

Governor Seyi Makinde visited the Ibadan Circular Road, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway earlier today. He issued a stop work order in respect of the construction of the 32 kilometers road awarded by the past administration since May 2017 at the cost of #67 billion.

Makinde pointed out the significance of the road and its importance to the economy of the state. He frowned at the pace at which the construction has been moving at about 5 per cent.

He stated that his administration will continue to build infrastructures which would contribute to the growth of the state’s economy. 

The Governor promised to meet with the contractors in order to review the work plan for major development.
