Abba Kyari's case is an opportunity and new vista for Nigeria to show the whole world that impunity is unacceptable in our country, our weak justice system is shown to be incorruptible and we will never shield anyone however highly placed in the system from prosecution
People like Attorney General, Abubakar Malami and the Inspector-General of Police can use this situation to launder our battered image in the comity of nations. By handing over Abba Kyari to FBI to go and clear his name is a symbolic gesture that United States Government through FBI will so much appreciate, by the way FBI trains many of our EFCC Operatives and Police officers and that relationship will be strengthened more, unless we dont think far and beyond
Moreover all these clowns online claiming that they "stand with Abba Kyari" this symbolic gesture is lost on you, please go and check how the shuttle diplomacy of President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999-2007 achieved positive impact for the country, Nigerians applying for visas and being given easily is one, plus other positive benefits economically and FDI inflow which accrued to the country then. I might need to start a course online on rational thinking and critical reasoning for many of you by the way (na joke o)
Finally, can we just do the right thing for once as a nation, so we can be regarded as good people or we abide in same foolishness thinking we are smart but actually a subject of derision globally, yapping about one silly national pride that Abba Kyari should not be taken abroad
You claim about one silly national pride but Nigerian athletes are protesting at the Olympics in Japan, where others are winning medals, Nigerian delegation are fighting over ordinary Samsung phones donated to them freely, walahi if I hear any nonsense about national pride again, we go enter one trouser together today
Hopefully, our leaders will think properly and do well to lead us right. This is my take on this Abba Kyari case and reason for my intervention since this story went viral
