Alabama Kidnapping Victim Leads Cops to Murdered Woman in Woods

Alabama police are trying to unravel a bizarre double crime. According to AL.com, after a woman called 911 on Friday and said she was being held prisoner, police used cellphone tracking to find and rescue her.

The woman, whose hands were bound, then told police about a murder—and they used her information to find another woman’s remains in the woods.

Police say they have identified two suspects and are hunting for them, but the motive remains unclear.

"Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 4:42 p.m. Friday received a 911 call from a woman who said she was being held against her will at a Center Point apartment complex but didn’t know where she was. Authorities began tracking her phone and found her at Woodside Condominiums on Shadowood Circle."

"The area was secured until daylight Saturday when the body could be removed. Evidence technicians processed the crime scene and the body was transported to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office."

Deputy Chief David Agee said she had visible injuries. She was treated on the scene and then taken to a hospital for further treatment.

“These are some mean-spirited people,’’ he said of the suspects. “We will get them.”
