Sequel to rumours making rounds from some ingenuine quarters over the serious grouse between the leadership of the Labour Party and the chairmen of the 33 Local government councils in Oyo state, the party has resolved the issues amicably and everyone is happy.
The reconciliation meeting took place at the Molete state secretariat of the party today and the two group signed a peace accord and promised to be united for the progress of the party.
Speaking on behalf of all the chairmen, the chairman and secretary of the chairmen, Comrade Gbemiga Alabi and Comrade Oni Oluseye however in a joint statement enjoined other party faithfuls and executive member to shun all their grievances and look for a way to work together and make the party win in the 2023 general elections.
The duo emphasised the need to shun all sort of rumours, bickering, mouslinging and backbiting because this will not help anyone progress, rather it will hinder progress and cause chaos at all times.
Earlier, the chairman of the party in Oyo state, Atayase Olatunji Sadiq urged all the Local Governments leaders to demonstrate their good leaders skills and ensure they carry all other executive and members of the party along in whatever they do so that the transparency and accountability the party has been preaching will manifest in their actions and behaviours.
Atayese however urged everyone to always report issues that is beyond them to the state because that is the administrative procedure.
He also urged all the aggrieved parties to move on and ensure they work hard to see the party emerge victorious in the 2023 general elections.
