NIGERIA: Peter Obi Doesn't Have Times For Names Calling Politics, His Style Is Issue-based, Free From Personal Attacks or violence Says Tanko Yinusa

As far as the Nigerian politics is concerned, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections Mr Peter Obi has no tim for name callings, his political styles devoid of personal attack and violence.

According to the Coordinator of the Obidient Movement world wide Dr Yunusa Tanko in a video uploaded by Channels Television on YouTube, he  emphasized that Peter Obi’s political style is distinctively issue-based and free from personal attacks or violence.

His political styles, nomenclature and approaches to issues are contrary to expectations from certain quarters who are of the opinions that Obi should be bullying and yelling on the personalities of the perceived enemies of the Nigerian citizens

Tanko said: “Have you ever seen Mr. Peter Obi abusing anybody? He doesn't even call names. He deals with the issue.

“He's an issue based kind of politician and he never engaged anything about violence and that's what makes him different and distinct”

Obedient leader highlighted that Obi’s politics revolves around addressing Nigeria’s critical challenges rather than engaging in divisive or cheap blackmail. His focus is on rescuing Nigeria from poverty, insecurity, and systemic decay, particularly in the northern region where the level of poverty is alarmingly high.

Peter Obi’s dedication to grassroots engagement was illustrated by his travels to volatile areas by road, visiting internally displaced persons camps despite security risks.

Yinusa also addressed concerns from some Obi's supporters who fear that his coalition talks with other political figures might dilute his clean record and ideology.

He reassured that these discussions are about uniting like-minded individuals committed to Nigeria’s rescue, not about political power plays or alliances that compromise principles.

Going forward to 2027, a strong and formidable alliance may be an added advantage to ensure victory at the polls against the anti- people led APC government.

Regarding the Obedient Movement’s role, Yinusa said the youth-driven movement is being reorganized to regain momentum after the 2023 elections.

He noted the movement’s expansion across Nigeria, including northern states previously less engaged, emphasizing the growing interest of Nigerian youths in good governance.
