How Oyo State Obidients Celebrate Peter Obi’s Birthday with Road Walk and Charity Outreach

 By Abolade Adedeji

In celebration of Peter Obi’s 64th birthday, the Oyo State Obidients marked the day with acts of compassion and community service across Ibadan.

The day began in Mokola, where members of the group fed destitute individuals, interacted warmly with them, took photographs, and helped clean the surrounding area. The beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, visibly uplifted by the care shown to them.

Following this, the Obidients visited the Cheshire Home for the Handicapped. There, Pastors Alagbe and Obi led prayers, while Pastor Abolade shared words of encouragement with the residents. The group’s coordinator, Dele Abiola, also took time to engage with the home’s occupants. The visit culminated in the presentation of gifts and the clearing of overgrown bushes around the facility, all done by the Obidients themselves.

The management and residents of Cheshire Home were deeply appreciative of the support and kindness extended to them.

Overall, the day was marked by joy, gratitude, and a strong sense of community as the Oyo State Obidients chose to honour Peter Obi not with fanfare, but through service; giving back to society in meaningful ways that touched lives and spread hope.,
