Two oil tankers exploded and caught fire after attempting to pass through a mined route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement cited by IRNA.
The ships were deceived by US intelligence services into entering the dangerous route, the IRGC said.
The IRGC Navy reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz is “completely closed” due to US aggression and warned vessels not to enter mined routes.
“Until the aggression of criminal America ends, there is no possibility of exporting chemical fertilizer or even a single drop of oil and gas from this region,” the statement said.
The world now sees in full view the consequences of US aggression against Iran. The IRGC Navy said it stopped four violating ships that attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz with US military support, Tasnim reported.
The ships were halted in a combined missile and drone operation, the IRGC said.
The IRGC Navy warned vessel owners not to rely on “baseless” US military support and urged them to follow Iranian naval warnings and announcements.
As the hostility and escalations continue, US missile strikes hit Iran's electricity infrastructure and desalination pumps at a pier in the village of Bonji in Jask, Hormozgan province, IRGC-affiliated Tasnim reported on Friday.
Hormozgan Deputy Governor for Political, Security and Social Affairs Ismail Dehestani said the damage disrupted drinking water supplies to several villages in western Jask and that authorities were assessing the extent of the damage while working to restore services.

US strikes hit road infrastructure in Hormozgan Province, damaging bridges and routes between Bandar Abbas, Rudan, Minab and Kerman, Iranian media reported.
Two bridges on the Bandar Abbas–Rudan route were hit, leaving several people killed and injured, Tasnim reported.

Iranian attack drones hit fuel tanks at Al-Azraq base in Jordan, according to the statement.
The drones also targeted an ammunition depot at Al-Udeiri camp in Kuwait, as well as headquarters buildings, ammunition depots and connecting bridges at Ali Al-Salem base.
The strikes came as Iran continues retaliatory operations in response to US aggression against Iranian territory.

Fast forward to today, and Iran is freely targeting US barracks, logistics sites and Air Force facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain using Arash heavy drones
Lack of effective resistance on the US’ part signals that whatever efforts the Pentagon took to restore regional capabilities (like transferring THAAD from South Korea) proved insufficient
Arash drones have a range up to 2k km, and variable warhead weight (up to 260 kg)
Some versions feature advanced optoelectrical homing heads “for high-precision target engagement”
They are the Iranian Army’s long-range strike tool equivalent to the IRGC’s Shahed series of drones.
