Iran's FM: We Do Not See US As a Superpower, We Have Shown The Whole World That They Are Not

Araghch

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has said Iran do not see the United States as the global superpower.

He said the Iranians have exposed the US to the whole world that they are not superpower.

"We do not see them as a superpower, and we have shown the whole world that they are not", he said on his X social media handle.

The military confrontation between the United States and Iran has witnessed more escalations in the resent days. US forces have sustained eight days bombing of both the military and specific civilian targets in the southern Iran and in the Hormuz straits where American reimposed blockade against Tehran.

Iran in retaliations targeted all the US military bases in the Gulf region including Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE. American soldiers have vacated all military bases and sheltering in hotels. IRGC have issued warnings to the neighbouring countries that those hotels harbouring US soldiers are legitimate targets.

Despite all the threats and bombings, Iranians have shown ultimate resistance against the United States.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Mojtaba Khamenei said on Saturday that repeated US “violations” of a memorandum of understanding with Tehran had once again proved that the US president’s signature was “worthless,” warning that Iran and the Axis of Resistance had “unforgettable lessons” for the US.

In a message attributed to Khamenei, he said Washington’s breach of the agreement demonstrated the United States could not be trusted, describing it as “the Great Satan” and accusing it of bullying, expansionism and brutality.

He said the American leaders had once again revealed their “true face” and that its actions provided further evidence of what he described as America’s dishonesty and unreliability.

Khamenei also warned that if the US continued to pursue military escalation and accepted heavier costs, “the Iranian nation and the Axis of Resistance have unforgettable lessons” for Washington.

The US military announces that Iran has killed 2 US service members in Jordan and one US service member is missing, with 4 additional US service members medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals, per CENTCOM.

The US service members were killed during Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on July 17.

This likely happened during yesterday's Iranian strike on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, where the US soldiers' barracks were on fire.

Both China and Pakistan have separately called on both sides to return to the negotiation table.
