Iran has publicly accused U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies of feeding Donald Trump severe misinformation about the Iran war, warning that "worse than fake news is fake intelligence" as Washington faces another major miscalculation over the Strait of Hormuz.
The accusation follows a WaPo report that Israel fed the CIA a fake Iranian assassination plot against Trump to manipulate U.S. policy — intelligence the CIA had "low confidence" in and could not verify.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted: "The U.S. has long miscalculated due to intelligence failures. Case in point: The war on Iran. Now, an even bigger miscalculation on the Strait of Hormuz. Worse than fake news is fake intelligence. Be careful."
President Donald Trump was told by the Secret Service in Turkey that Iran could assassinate him. He hides in a catering truck all the way to the airport and left Turkey after the NATO meeting in a military plane.
An evident that US has been deceived and lured into the Iran's war by deceptive and fake intelligence reports by the CIA and the Israel.
The same fake intelligence reports playing out on the Strait of Hormuz.

Commercial ships and tankers must obtain permission and be supervised by Iranian forces to transit safely.
Alireza Salimi, a lawmaker and member of Iran’s parliament Presiding Board, said in an interview with the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) that the Strait of Hormuz was more valuable to Iran than a nuclear bomb and could be used to address sanctions and compensation claims.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a blessing that God has placed in Iran’s hands,” Salimi said, adding that US actions had “opened the way” for Iran to use the waterway.
“With the Strait of Hormuz, we can resolve the issue of sanctions and compensation and retaliate,” he added.
