Abeokuta, Ogun State – The Ogun State Chapter of the Labour Party has received with immense satisfaction and profound relief the landmark judgment of the Federal High Court, which has decisively laid to rest the protracted leadership crises within our great party.
This judicious ruling, which affirms Her Excellency, Nenadi Esther Usman, as the interim and legitimate National Chairman of the Labour Party, represents a new dawn for our political family. It is a victory for the rule of law, party discipline, and the millions of members and supporters who have yearned for stability and focused leadership.
On behalf of the entire membership, executives, and stakeholders of the Labour Party in Ogun State, the State Publicity Secretary extends our warmest congratulations to the interim National Chairman,Nenadi Esther Usman on her affirmation. We commend her steadfastness, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the party throughout the period of litigation. We express our total loyalty and pledge our unequivocal support to her National Working Committee as they steer the party towards its manifest destiny.
We also heartily congratulate every dedicated member of the Labour Party in Ogun State. This victory is yours. Your patience, unwavering faith, and steadfastness in the face of uncertainty have been exemplary. Your resilience has been rewarded with a clear path forward.
Now is the time for unity in purpose and action. With the shadows of litigation lifted, we must all come together with renewed vigour and a single-minded focus. The task ahead is significant. We must:
1. Immediately consolidate our ranks and integrate all members under the affirmed, legitimate leadership.
2. Strengthen our grassroots structures across all 236 wards and 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State.
3. Commence aggressive membership drives to welcome all progress-minded citizens of Ogun into our fold.
4. Begin meticulous preparation for the upcoming electoral contests, with a focus on presenting credible candidates and people-oriented manifestos to the good people of Ogun State.
The Ogun State Labour Party, under the guidance of the affirmed national leadership, is now poised more than ever to offer a viable, credible, and people-focused alternative to the electorate. We are energized, unified, and ready to work tirelessly for the socio-economic liberation and democratic prosperity of Ogun State.
